5. Samuel Adams Utopias $150 for one 700ml bottle-Beer is typically a great drink of choice when you go out, as it is almost always cheaper than wine or liquor. Not in this case. nail brewing antarctic nail ale

1. Nail Brewings Antarctic Nail Ale -$800-$1800 for one 500ml bottle -100 percent of profits of this unique Australian beer goes to the Sea Shepard Conversation Society. The story behind it? The people from the organization dug up some ice from an Antarctic iceberg, melted it in Tasmania, and the flew it to Perth for brewing. It contains 10% of alcohol, and only 30 bottles were made.

those are some crazy prices for a beer. I think I will stick with Natty Ice.

I had Utopias, it was ok but it wasn`t worth the money at all. Sort of like a vanilla beer mixed with a small amount of whiskey. It smelled and tasted like it had some maple syrup in it to. Meh, I`ll stick with rum.

Probably not actual beer, more like fortified barley wine. These are processed to pop-up the alcohol, because even the toughest of yeasts kills itself with alcohol poisoning at 18%.

These high-end beers don`t sound particularly appealing. Best beer I ever had was in Belgium, where it seemed as though every bar or restaurant had its own local brew ... and all of it fantastic.

I have to ask: Would any of you be attracted to drinking a beverage if the bottle was crammed down the mouth of a mummy?

I don`t understand the appeal, if you can call it that, of the bottle inside the taxidermied gray squirrel. That`s just wrong.

$1800 for a beer brewed in Perth? Having lived in perth for the last 5 years, I can say that`s not far off the average price of a pint in Northbridge.
