Whilst the British invented special forces (read up on the SAS`s world war 2 history if interested), military observers often state these days that the Israelis are currently the best of them all.
Reason being , Israel doesn`t give a poo about political correctness (i.e you take an Israeli hostage they have no qualms of killing you even on foreign soil.) And because of their situation of gaza and Palestinian territories they get most practice.

Yeah, Fwoggie, no. Australian and New Zealand SAS are recognised as the best on the planet. From WW2 onwards, it was always our guys softening targets and capturing strategic marks before the main forces went in.

Great post and great photos.

Very inclusive of the Peruvians to allow zombies to join their special forces.

Though not really classified as "Special Forces", America had a division know as the 1st US Sharpshooters during the Civil War (Union side).

These men had to pass a shooting test and wore a green uniform as opposed to the standard Union blue. And because they were easily identifiable on a field, they instead used guerrilla tactics instead of Napoleonic tactics.

Just don`t call the reenactors "Tree Frogs". They hate that.

Although I wouldn`t want to be on the receiving end of any of them to be honest.
