Yeah- I was surprised. I agree- a fine soundtrack .. saw the film when it first came out and apart from `will You` had not thought of it much since. Been revisiting some favourite tunes from the late 70`s early 80`s myself recently. So much dross one forgets the gems...

madduck, agreed on "Will You." It`s not just a beautifully written song, but it`s a powerful one, too, right down to the sax solo. The high-point of an already good soundtrack.

This song, "Eighth Day" symbolizes O`Connor`s character being completely consumed by the glitzy music industry she fought against for the entire movie. So, it`s dramatic in context ... but fun as a stand-alone song. The remastering job on this clip is fantastic.
