The guy leaked info that anyone could have leaked. Why is everyone so dumbfounded that someone stood up to the government and said "no"?

I really believe history will show him to be in the right.

So, Gerry, you would shoot someone for revealing facts that are uncomfortable to you?

I don`t know wether i would be willing to take your bullet for him, but i would try to prevent you from shooting:
I think the information leaked is worth what people use to call collateral damage, also for you in the US.
Look at all the discussions about what`s happening with all our data.

Twenty years from now, he will be named a hero.
You want to be the guy who shot him, Gerry?

I think he is in the wrong. No, not all the data is good to have been leaked. Also, I`m suspicious of what he has given the Russians etc that we don`t even know.

I believe it was good what Snowden released, only for the reason that there are facts in the public eye and not just the "rumors" I was repeating...

Steals thousands of secrets but one was a good thing to tell about. Internet makes him a hero. What about the other 12,999 secret documents?

By that logic Jeffrey Dahmer is a hero because he let one go.

    Wow, that escalated quickly, Gerry.

The US missed their opportunity when wanting to oppress/kill him instead of discussing the points he brought to light.
He probably had to give some info to foreign countries for them saving his life.
So had the US treated him with the respect due to a whistleblower, a lot of damage would have prevented.
And now you claim it is his fault? That`s funny.

It`s not an escalation, it`s fact. Everyone makes him out to be a hero but they ignore the other thousands of secret documents he stole. Not my idea of a hero.

Heroes do not spill secrets and then run and hide. Heroes expose villains and then thwart them, with the help of other heroes when called upon.
