Over 100 in the post, under 60 single posts. Less than 23 useful posts.

IRockYeah Each one of those numbers are higher than the posts on your profile. Your last sentence definitely sums up your profile. Ironic?

No, 12chars. He`s right. Also, so many of these "hacks" actually cause more work than they are worth.

HOBYandy, never said he was wrong. I was just pointing out that it is poor form to complain about a post that has more things in it than you have submitted the entire time you have been a member. The same thing could be applied to you.

But in reality he is bitching that he only learned 23 useful things from this submission. Poor him, he picked up ONLY 23 things that benefited him. All 100 should have been catered exactly to him and his needed life hacks, right?

Here the one top drawer in all apartments is a cutting board... On small kitchens it would be impossible to cook anything without it.

Knotting your powercord like in that tip: NEVER EVER!! i repeat, NEVER EVER DO THAT!! When there`s enough force, you can bend the connection and it`ll break sooner than the cables. You might even have a working machine and exposed connectors, which is the worse case scenario: user don`t expect anything unusual.

In some places, you will be fired on the spot if you do that.

If you absolutely must, take the both ends, keep the cables parallel and tie them together at least 30cm before the connectors so that the strain will be only on the wires.

The ends need to be easily disconnected.

Even that is dubious but as an ad hoc solution, it`s fine. First solution is ALWAYS to get a longer cable. I`m not kidding, this a subject i actually know. Running lines for lights in and on top of metal trusses around hundreds of people is not a place to risk on electrical safety. One knot like that: you never work again with that company.. and the word gets around.

tip: toothpaste does clean oxidized headlights, but only for a day or two. The ONLY 100% solution to oxidized headlights is to buy new ones unfortunately.

Syke: I was in a car repair shop the other day, and saw advertised a process they offered that fixes fogged headlight covers. I presume it`s better than toothpaste.

The spaghetti one (to light a candle) works quite well, but it does smell of burnt toast for about five minutes afterwards
