Argh I watched a couple of minutes of this before I realized it was a viral ad attempt by burger king. I bet these people eat real food and are a lot healthier.

The hill-tribe guy spoke perfect thai, so he is probably not hill-tribe. probably from chiang-mai area - chiang-mai being a major city with several fast-food outlets.

I was going to say they ruined the whole thing because they didn`t offer Five Guys, then I saw it was sponsored by BK.

This was like watching toddlers eat their first hamburger. They didn`t know how to handle them.

I know a lot of you are basically saying, "..they`re ruining their culture", etc. But I really doubt that. These people they found live off the grid, they won`t change just for a hamburger.

An observation on the way people eat food:
In the civilised countries of the world, people do not eat with both hands. There are various reasons; some countries use different hands for different tasks. (hygiene, culture, etc.)
In the UK we are taught to use a knife and fork at the same time as we are taught table-manners. This is part of the progression from messy infant feeding, to sophisticated adult dining.
As much as I enjoy cramming food into my feeding orifice with both hands, that is for private eating, where post-food washing facilities are available. In polite society, I prefer to use the correct utensils for conveying food to my mouth, as it is not always possible to take a shower after every meal.

why did they force them to dress in their festive costumes? is it needed to show how "foreign" they are?

@Gerry1of1

Most of these people probably hunt kill and gut their own meat, I don`t think they would be phased by chicken nuggets, it`s us Westerners who aren`t use to the process and just see the final product that get grossed out.

So, it`s a "Have It Your Way Production"... thank goodness the Whopper won the "completely fair" taste test and Burger King didn`t spend all that money to advertise for Mc Donalds...

They should first show a video of how nuggets are made then give them a huge plate. I`d love to see THAT reaction.

Us westerners are immune to that. But you know the asians eat stuff we wouldn`t touch. It`s all in your culture.

Why ruin the life of pure humans?

I like the comparison tests better. I think most cultures try to be polite when handed food so they would say it tasted good regardless. At least the head to head eliminates that aspect. Somehow I suspect Burger King sponsored this, though. I like both burgers but McDonald`s wins on fries.

I see, they brought them to the testing sites, not the products to the people.

If they all lived within 15 minutes of a Burger King and McDonald`s, how is it they have managed to go without tasting one of their burgers, or being exposed to their advertising?

I call BS...all is not as it seems.

And what did we learn? Nothing. The taste preference of someone in the amazon in no way relates to the tastes in the US or EU. Waste of money.

The villages welcome the researchers now, but wait a couple hours when those things exit their bodies... the researchers would not be welcomed after that
