@SnoopyBG,
I`m neither Creationist nor Christian. In fact I`m a non-believer. But I do know Christians who don`t strictly adhere to story of Creation as described in the Bible. Their belief, essentially, is that God set existence and Creation in motion and allowed it to proceed. Since all things then derive from that, any new amazing scientific discovery constitutes additional proof of the magnificence of the Lord.
And then there are the others who you described pretty well.

@papajon0s1,
Good words.

Yeah they are open until it proves something that "proves" the existence of god.
And science is downright destrying religion (thank....god?). The more science explains, the less religion claims to know. 100 years ago the stupid guy would be considered right, now he comes out and idiot. Science FTW!

Just a warning against gross generalizations. Not all Christians subscribe to blind creationism. I am a devout Catholic and honestly, just saying things like "God wills it!" or "it`s in the Bible" is not enough and and is being used poorly and I think does a disservice to the faith. Whether you believe it or not, many Christians are open to new scientific discovery and feel in only enhances our faith, not destroys it.

Ham has the advantage, if by advantage you mean:

* Stupidity
* Ignorant adherence to a book of fairy tales
* Willful suspension of even the most rudimentary critical thinking
* See also stupidity
