    Link: Look Ma, No Guitars - Two bassists and a drummer. Once they start cooking, you don`t miss the 6-string.

    Tell the drummer to not look so excited to be there.

    Give the drummer a break, he had to endure the whole thing.

    Playing guitar chords and scales on your bass is really not that impressive. However, I will say that the bass players were good. The drummer, on the other hand, was spectacular.

    Patchouly. Takes a fair amount of strength and accuracy though. a bass if far more unforgiving then a guitar..

    to be sure, i prefer a clean bass with a solid groove. to me a bass and distortion is just wrong.

    @MrOrange,
    It`s much easier when you are further up the neck though. I know I`ve never had any issues with it.

    As for the distortion; I`ve only heard it used well, a few times. It`s usually a bad thing IMO. My job did see me getting to test run a boutique Bass Fuzz pedal a few years back but, in the end, I wound up sticking it in with my guitar gear.

    I`d say the effects here serve the purpose of differentiating the sound of the two basses for a little variety.
