    Re ISP`s...

Let`s have a consultation then. I`ll start. I`m in Germany.

    €29 a month ($39.86 USD) buys me 33.77mbps download and 0.89mbps upload (source: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3325209014

I could have triple that (not that I need it) for about another 75% on top of what I pay.

Holland is supposed to have some of the best internet, but whenever I`m there it seems like it`s nothing special.

I assume it has to do partially with Geography and population density. That`s why Australia is so bad for such a developed country.

Re #6: So, basically, the countries who actually DESIGNED and BUILT the Internet don`t want countries who contributed NOTHING to its development or construction to be able to boss them around.

Does that pretty well sum it up?

According to speedtest.net, 16 Mbits down, 1.5 Mbits up. However, I have NEVER encountered a server that can deliver anything faster that 8 Mbits, and most of them run at 2-3 Mbits or less. The only way I can get my money`s worth is to have 4-6 concurrent downloads that total better than 8 Mbits.

    For this I pay $47/mo.
