? So weapons designed to kill enemy soldiers that actually work are considered "bad" nowadays? Next the libratards will say "war is bad".

I would say land mines are bad. Any child can trigger it and they`re left over long after the soldiers are gone.

Gerry1of1 not only lands mines are bad for what you just said, but the "scumbag" homo sapiens have decided to create also lands mines undetectable from metal detectors. This explain a lot,the feking homo sapiens want disgrace not only weapons designed to kill enemy soldiers as you say.

No, not any weapon that "actually works", more specifically weapons that cause massive collateral damage to innocent civilians (both directly and indirectly)when used. Aside from #5, all of the weapons listed have potential for collateral damage to the local population wherever it may be used.

I`m sorry, but carpet bombing a full square mile with cluster bombs just to wipe out a single target, is not what I would consider a weapon that "actually works". I would say that`s more along the lines of "spray and pray".

drawman61: "So America wouldn`t give up their toys. There`s a surprise."

And Russia, and the UK, and I bet NK, and probably China, and there are probably others, as well.

But nooooo, it`s all the Americans, and only civilians at that! Right drawman?

McGovern1981: "and they made this guy a MOD?"

    My sentiments as well.

"...carpet bombing a full square mile with cluster bombs just to wipe out a single target..."

"Carpet Bombing", like what was done in WWII, is bombing a large area with a sh*tload of unguided bombs to destroy everything in it.

Cluster bombs are not used on "one single target", like a building, they`re used to make runways & roads unusable and have been used on large troop formations. They work exactly how they`re designed to work.

    That`s one man`s opinion.

He completely overlooked a broad range of chemical and biological weapons and certain tactical weapons I find more offensive than some intended to kill, most notably, flechettes.

@Gerry: War is bad. I may be retarded, but I`m not a Libra :)

@Thonious: I think the point was legal weapons, so biological and chemical would have been left out (although I admit my ignorance on the legality of said weapons...)

Basically: "These ways of killing people are bad, you need to kill people in my way"

Dragonance - the problem is that it doesn`t change anything. You can just as easily strafe that same half mile with guns. It`s about using discretion. Plus, you can carpet bomb with regular bombs, it`s been done since the airplane has been around.

Drawman - Everything America does, UK does about 98%. I hate to break it to you. A lot of it may or may not be public, probably to fool the British people like you, but that`s totally how it`s been since `45.

Guns and normal bombs are pretty good at killing people, they`re actually the most reliable ways. Evidence: World War One and Two. They come up with sad sob stories of victims of these weapons in fmr Yugoslavia and Mid-east, but then ignore the literally hundreds of thousands that are dying "organically" from good ol`guns and bombs. How do you think the people in Syria are dying?

The five worst or the five best? I guess it all depends on which side you`re on.

So no HEAT rounds (which stands for high EXPLOSIVE anti-tank) and no Sabot rounds... how are we going to kill a tank? And yes, war is terrible and it would be wonderful if we could all just get along, but it just isn`t going to happen! When a war happens people are going to get hurt, that`s kind of the point!

I think he ment the idea of banning them. Ya what exactly is the problem with them?? Trying to make war humane by saying you can set rules is an exercise in mental retardation.

I would not mind if we reverted to medieval warfare globally. If anything, it would mean little to no collateral damage or casualties on the civilian sides.

Ummm that`s completely wrong just look at details of the crusades, what Vikings did, Romans and all sorts of other most definitely burned down villages and killed civilians.

Dragonace-"I`m sorry, but carpet bombing a full square mile with cluster bombs just to wipe out a single target, is not what I would consider a weapon that "actually works".

Unless, of course, your target is a full square mile in size (say enemy planes parked at an airport). In which case it`ll `work` better than a HEAT round.

    AGit-"War is bad."

Yes, war is bad. But sometimes war is unavoidable and/or inevitable. In which case your best option is to make war better than the other side.

You are talking about pillaging and raiding, which I`m sure we might avoid since we are so humane, righteous and developed. Right? Right?
