My cousin has twins and so does my boyfriend`s sister. Both first birthdays were hilariously entertaining when cake time came `round.

I`m sure it was a birthday. It`s very common, at least in the states, and at least for the first birthday, to give the kid a big piece or even their own smaller cake and just let them go apepoo.

As long as the kids don`t have a known health problem like diabetes, it`s not a problem and it`s a one time thing.

Now that is a fine mess.
Gerry, as long as they are not letting her have free run all the time, I don`t see the harm in it. We did the same when my son turned one. He got as messy as he wanted to. I haven`t seen any negative effects thus far.
I think you need to let them explore limits so they may have a grasp of the negative consequences of over-indulgence.

I`m sure they thought their snowflake was adorable, but it`s really not good parenting to indulge them like that.

LOL! Looks like William Wallace`s daughter preparing for an attack on the English.
