Link: Don`t Wash Your Jeans: Freeze Them? - A seriously weird approach to keeping your jeans clean. Are any I-A-B`ers doing this?

I suppose so. But what you are actually doing is killing the bacteria instead of removing it (smell comes from bacteria). Your pants would smell clean, but be riddled with bacteria carcasses. If you`re okay with that then...what the heck.

On the downside, you would be unable to remove oils from sweat or any kind of stains. Eventually, you`d have to wash them. Either that or treat them like gold (ie. never wear them when you are sweaty. Never wear them when you are playing sports. Never wear them when you are eating....)

If you wash them you will "remove all the good coolness they have in them"!

I guess I`ve been washing all the coolness out of my jeans.

    Face palm
Jeans for people who don`t work hard. Yes I know that unwashed cotton is usually stronger and more durable.

According to the food handlers class I took 15 years ago (when I was in high school and working at a restaurant) freezing doesn`t kill bacteria. It simply slows down the rate bacteria multiplies.

Who should I believe...the nut-job who spends way too much on douchey jeans and puts them in the freezer...or common sense?

1: I don`t do laundry, it interferes with my drinkning.
    2: His "raw" denim has been dyed so it`s not as "raw" as he thinks it is. {Cotton only grows in 3 colors and black/blue ain`t one of them.}
3: After freezing is the same bacteria levels as dirty jeans. "Same as a pair that was washed and WORN A FEW DAYS"=dirty jeans

    Conclusion: He`s an idiot.

Apparently I washed all the coolness out of my dick years ago `cause I like to be clean down there. I should have just stuffed my underwear with ice.

You leave money in your freezer jeans so when you take them out, you`ll have some cold, hard cash.

    Questions...
Once freezer jeans are taken out, haven`t you already lost the coolness?

If you forget about the jeans for a while, will they get freezer burn?

Must be nice to have so few problems in the real world that your life can revolve around pants.

"Damn, these property taxes are going through the roof!"

"What`s that? Sorry, I was admiring my jean collection."

I wash- I wash. Having said THAT- many years ago when I was a teenager- and I guess about 13- I was given my first pair of lee jeans. They were very dark and rigid but they were skin tight ( my grandmother had a conniption fit) and I wore them all summer- no washing because of the disapproval and the downtime (washing was only ever done on a monday morning- all done by half seven) and they fit like a glove. When they were washed once I was at school- the school laundry being quite forgiving- those babies came out like velvet- fit perfectly, soft as silk and just like a second skin..wish I could repeat them

Three and a half minutes to say "freeze your jeans"? ... no, you can smack him, it`s fine.

You look good in jeans *now*, Madduck. I imagine all the boys in your school loved those jeans of yours every bit as much as you did. Maybe more!

I call trolling. as stains go freezing wont do poo and as bacteria goes the home freezer is nowhere cold enough. they found the same bacteria levels on the jeans because, I imagine, the kid isn`t rolling in mud and then freezing them. he`s just walking his daily route.

I`m with the commenters who`ve expressed skepticism that this could work. All freezing is going to do is put the bacteria into hibernation. Once you thaw the pants out, you thaw the bacteria out and they`re reanimated.

I was just amazed to learn that there is, apparently, a fair number of people out there who do this.

Without a doubt the most boring individual I have ever seen. I imagine when he goes home after work he sits in a chair in his living room all alone and has a conversation with his pretend friends and family until its time to push the corpses of his neighbors out off his bed and go to sleep.
