A lot of death and destruction came from many of these. I am not sure I`d use the word "positive".

Well, Rosa Parks was one of many who pulled that "stunt" in a deliberate attempt at getting arrested. She didn`t just do it "on a whim" or something, she was coached and prepared for the task.
She`s nonetheless a hero! Don`t get me wrong!

Candy Lightner = hero!

Rowling? Willis? White? Not heroes. Just ordinary good folk.

Ledbetter? Give me a break. Just another greedy person with a pack of lawyers...

That got stupid in a hurry:

Ryan White - representing 0.01% of AIDS victims. Becomes poster boy for a disease that is 99%+ spread by intentional risky behavior.

Lilly Ledbetter - Failed to prove her case and lost in court. Leads to a law that severely punishes companies that hire females, leading to the lowest female workforce participation rate in decades.

Snowden hasn`t changed history one bit. All he`s done is the equivalent to fleeing to Nazi Germany in the 1930s to avoid Western (not just our country, but pretty much all of them) prosecution.

Isn`t everyone ordinary until they change history?

JK Rowling has no business on this list. In another few years no one will know who she is.

Rosa Parks is okay, but the real hero in that story is the bus driver. If hadn`t told her to `get in back` no one would know her name. He`s the real catalyst for her fame.

That Arab Spring example is kind of lame, especially in the light of the genocide it`s caused of a variety of different groups of people.
