That`s all fine and good, however, in the end it all comes down to your own personal will-power. Sorry, but either you put down the Oreos or you don`t don`t, but its up to you.

Number 8, "you eat more when you watch television", as I`m literally putting another forkful into my mouth... I don`t have to eat less so I guess I`m fine.

@madduck, sometimes it`s not as simple as "stop eating".

I still live with my mother (college student; saves money) and she does the cooking. She cooks fairly heathily. Rarely anything gets fried. But because it`s just her and me, she struggles with cooking the right amount, especially pasta.

But instead of throwing it out, or sticking it in the fridge for later, she eats everything she makes. Now, she`s by no means fat. She`s certainly not skinny either, but she has been trying to lose some weight.

But, that trait has not been passed on to me. When I reach "satisfied", I can rarely put anything else in my mouth. And on the occasions I do over-eat, I feel horrid.
I`m 5`11" and weigh 135 lbs.

Bloody hell- just eat less- it is not hard. There is no `stuff your face` instinct. just stop eating crap stuff... why use tricks. Are people REALLY that lacking in will?

I fill half the plate up with brown rice. Filling and low cal. The other half is the real food but I eat way less of it.
I hit 50 and gained 10 lbs. I got the cutest tummy but my pants aren`t comfortable so working on losing that.

#2 won`t work for me, I don`t have a dominant hand. But the other ideas are interesting. I don`t have the TV on so that is good. I`ll probably try a few of the others.
