The 10 Most Googled Women Of 2013 [Pic]

Which female won the heart of Google this year? Oddly enough, the women who garnered the most popularity in Google results over the last 12 months are all pop music stars.

#10 Madonna - 86,600,000 Results

Food for thought: Madonna may qualify for the senior citizens discount on McDonalds coffee, but that didnt stop the 55-year-old entertainer from grinding her way to $125 million this year with her MDNA tour. Tack that onto all the other stuff she"s been involved with (i.e. saving babies in Malawi, being sued) and you"ve got a pretty solid recipe for how to remain one of the internet"s most relevant women.

#9 Britney Spears - 87,800,000 Results

Despite having a resurgence at the end of 2013, somehow pop legend has fallen in the ranks since 2012. She was fired from The X-Factor, but she quickly rebounded by announcing a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas. Months after that, she released the lead single from her new album Britney Jean called "Work B*tch" that you"ve probably heard your girlfriend, sister, or mother singing.

#8 Miley Cyrus - 92,100,000 Results

With all the twerk and weird tongue action, its actually surprising she didnt rate higher this year. Her Google Zeitgeist ranking is another story, though. In that line-up, Miley twerked her way to the #5 spot of most searched people. Billy Ray would be proud.

#7 Taylor Swift - 110,000,000 Results

Even when not writing angry songs about John Mayer or boy band members, Taylor Swift still commands serious Google power. The country-pop starlet made $55 million this year with her Red Tour

#6 Katy Perry - 119,000,000 Results

Everyone"s favorite stacked pop star Katy Perry enjoyed an extremely successful year in 2013. Its amazing what a latex cat suit can do for ones Google popularity. Katy Perrys release of her album, Prism and a signature perfume, only strengthened her web presence. Oh yeah, there"s also the fact that she became the #1 most followed celebrity on Twitter.

#5 Cher - 160,000,000 Results

Cher makes an appearance on this list every year because she has had a legion of devoted fans for 40 years, who will keep supporting her until mankind ceases to exist. She"s timeless.

#4 Lady Gaga - 161,000,000 Results

Get used to seeing news about Lady Gaga for the rest of your life. Shes built a Cher-worthy legion of super fans that will blog and tweet about any piece of "art" she hot glues to her head.

#3 M.I.A. - 242,000,000 Results

Her new album, Mantangi and the usual M.I.A. dose of controversy gave the singer heavy Google results in 2013. *M.I.A. results also pick up some hits for soldiers missing in action and Miami. So is she really #3?

#2 Lana Del Rey - 597,000,000 Results

Who, how and why? A world tour for her Paradise album that basically said,"F**k you," to the United States with only two Chicago dates, kept her at the forefront of Google.

#1 Rihanna - 1,420,000,000 Results

#1 comes as no shock at all. Twelve months of nearly pornographic promotion for Unapologetic secured Rihannas Google crown in 2013. Unapologetic debuted on the Billboard 200 and placed her in the company of Madonna and The Supremes as an artist with the 4th number of #1 singles in the chart"s history. When you"re in the company of Madonna and The Supremes for just your music, you know that you"re popular. She"s without a doubt one of the more polarizing artists in music today. But you know the old saying, "there"s no such thing as bad publicity." So whether we"re talking about her love for "herb" or her on-again/off-again romance with Chris Brown, we"re sure that she appreciates the attention.

Using Google Trends data, the top 10 is occupied by a few obvious place holders as well as some golden oldies.

Lana Del Rey is brilliant, all her characters are so delightfully broken. Weird praise, but go listen to a few and you`ll know what I mean.

What a sad commentary on our culture and society when these losers are the most sought after women on Google. No wonder our nation is falling in just about every category there is to measure.

Maybe they meant Top 10 Googled Female Singers. There is no effing way that a thousand year old Cher and Madonna`s funky butt got more hits than Jennifer Lawrence or any other popular models or actresses.

I actually like Lana delRay, but lets see if she passes the test of time. Madonna does, as does Cher- even if I am not keen- Rihanna probably will as will Britney but because of shameless promotion and revealed bodyparts!

Was trying to tell my buddy yesterday about that columbian milf on that one tv show.. (yeah you know the one!) still can`t think of her name or the show`s name, but I searched these exact terms "that fine ass columbian chick that be on tv" into google images to see if it would work. Google did not disappoint. So we googled her, not pop stars.

I know Lana Del Ray, she is really good. But I have no idea about M.I.A. Rhianna needs to take Miley and Britney to some remote island and fall into a volcano together.

What is odd about this? Sadly, we are a society obsessed with celebrities. The only thing odd about this to me is that Kim Kardashian is not on this list. As useless as she is, I am surprised she didn`t make the top 10.

Who is still googling britney spears? She was hot when she was 16 and performing but she took a hard left turn.
Never even heard of 2 and 3
