HAHAHA "Legitimate voices"! Any audiophile, music enthusiast or even a techie who`s spent any time at all messing around with producing software will hear the dung pile of effects layered onto their "legitimate voices".

@ REV, I don`t get it. There is nothing inherently `queer` about christmas carols sung by people with legitimate voices. Maybe you need a rapper to grab his crotch while he butchers the classics?

    Adeste fidelis, dude.

There is definitely some serious studio enhancement in play here. The days of the Swingle Singers are long over.

This song always drives me crazy because all I can think is it`s pronounced "een" not "in". But they still sound great regardless. I would love to get back into group singing by singing in a group like this but this kind of harmony can be tough when you don`t have the ability to practice with a piano on my own. All you haters have no idea how hard this is to do well.

Laugh all you want I liked it. And it`s not "gay". It`s not straight either. It`s just Christmas carols.

@rev if watching something makes you feel gay, perhaps you aren`t as secure in your sexuality as you think.

I turned gay watching that, realized I have no taste in clothes, can`t dance and have zero `sass` (yes, I know that also makes me white), then turned back straight it was THAT good :)

    Lauriloo: WHAT`s pronounced "een"?

I was taught the latin word "in" is pronounced "een", as in *een* excelsis deo but people argue about that. They also argue how to pronounce "excelsis" because there is an old latin way and a new latin way. Once one is taught and sung a song a certain way for years it`s hard to accept it done any other way.

From the book "THE CORRECT PRONUNCIATION OF LATIN ACCORDING TO ROMAN USAGE"

I i (ee) is pronounced like "ee" in meet or "i" in machine. There is no modification of the "ee" sound of "i" in Latin. The sound of "i" as in the words "tin," "is," "milk" is not to be given to this vowel. It is to be spoken and sung in a positive manner of "ee" without exception. Final syllables containing this vowel are softened but there is no loss of vowel quantity in so doing.

I mean, if you don`t love this, you need to go and lie down for a few years, and then have an enema and a bowl of Captain Crunch. (Not necessarily at the same time.)

And beware, for it will stick to your teeth. (Captain Crunch, not the enema, thank gawd.)
