People may want to call this stuff "improper English", but I`d guess that the person who wrote this sign speaks African American Vernacular English. Many people call it bad English or incorrect, but it`s not, it has its own grammar and vocabulary. Some consider it a dialect of English while others consider it a creole of American English and some west African languages. Laugh all you want, but it`s not technically wrong.

IS: 3rd person singular present indicative of be.
BE: (used with the present participle of another verb to form the progressive tense): I am waiting.
ARE:present indicative plural and 2nd person singular of be.
so they all work just as well.

It would be funny if the shop was called We.

I`m sure their grandparents (Well, who knows how many generations) would be so proud, they worked so hard and this is where it ended up.
