@auburnjunky any organisation that accepts donations for charity has a duty to accept it, pretty much no matter what.

My husband got cancer a few years ago. Stage 4 ! {there are only 5}
The only reason he wasn`t let go from the company, and lost his insurance, is because of the Union. Company policy was 3 months out - Fire Them. Chemo is 6 months of debilitation plus 3 months minimum recovery.

So this video touches home. But there are many types of cancers. Breast cancer, while important, gets and unfair portion of the press and money. Nary a month goes by there isn`t a Run For Breast Cancer, or Walk For Breast Cancer, or fragging Bake Sale for Breast Cancer.

I`ve lived with cancer. I`m sick of hearing about it.

First things first: This is heartwarming, give hope for entire human race.

Then the bad thing.. No one should go thru this torment. Get cancer, lose job, lose insurance, death. It should be, get sick, take leave of absents from work, insurance continues to pay with or without a job or better yet, there`s no need for insurance as health care should be free, get well, go back to work and continue to contribute to society.. The need fo 30 000$ when you out of job and insurance is not possible. Keeping things like they are now makes every single voter responsible of her death and the death of people like her.

Can`t you really see how effing wrong this kind of situation is?

Certainly is, just doesn`t scale. One nice story but thousands just as desperate.

Money directly to the people hurting is so much better than just donating it to some large organization that just uses it to pay ridiculous salaries.
