    Or, if you`re incredibly lazy/don`t want to create your own recipe`s, you can go here.
    here

    I use a siphon hose to get my wort into my carboy.

    If I had more money, I`d be opening up a You-Brew where people could buy brewing ingredients and rent space/equipment to make their own beer. I`d do the racking for them, and they can pick up their beer when it is ready. Transition it into a microbrewery after I`ve made enough money to do so.

    I am very pleased to see Americans brewing their own beer. When I last went there, very few had heard of home-brew, let alone sampled it`s delights.
    In the UK we have hundreds of micro-breweries selling in local pubs and shops, and thousands of home-brewers.
    Home-made beer is good for you, and contains none of the chemical additives in commercial brews. (unless you add them yourself).
    Of course there is no duty on it, so it`s a tenth of the price. Give it a go!

    for Americans this is just a hobby, because they can get beer for so freakin cheap. But for us Canadians this is a serious money saver for MUCH better beer.

    you are looking at least a 100$ initial investment tho.. worth it in my opinion.

    oh and your first batch IS going to suck

    I`ve been brewing my own beer for about 2 yrs now. I started off doing extracts and went to all grain.
    I love my beer.
    I can`t even drink commercial swill anymore.

    Lovely ale! Just back from the pub after 3 pints of Youngs` special.
    McG, yes it was a while ago, 1994 as far as I remember. Stayed at the Greenwich harbour inn (CT) for a week, working on a radio system.

    @Nickel

    You must not have come to Wisconsin! Just about everyone I know homebrews.

    I`ve had two knockouts (an all-cascade IPA, and a pumpkin ale w/vanilla beans soaked in vodka, candied ginger, and roasted pumpkin flakes), two disasters (both lagers -_-), and a host of decent beers.
