"...surveillance of World of Warcraft did turn up `accounts, characters and guilds related to`"
NO, IT DIDN`T. F*CKING BULLSH*T. Nobody would go trough that much trouble to communicate and, especially, NOT THERE since every single thing in that game is logged, flight recorder style.
What it turned up was people in their own offices that like playing games while they`re supposed to working.

Actually? I think this is a good idea!
You cannot leave ANY stone unturned in the spy business - that`s a fact!
If I were trying to have covert communications? I`d think about using a game`s chatting features for sure!
Or the back pages of IAB: Just pick an old posting and Pass Secret Information!

Spys gotta spy! It`s what they do!

Bullsh*t. That`s playing games and lying about why.

That didn`t turn up any credible f*cking leads. I want see that chat log and those arrests and then, proof the arrested were not logged on while the guy was locked up.

Listen, we are not experts in the field. Maybe what they are doing is an effective way to get the job done, counterintuitively. Let`s not be armchair experts on everything.

At the same time, the IC has 17 agencies. That`s a problem. Can you name them all? Can you name even 5? Did you know that the Department of Energy has an intelligence agency?

While I DON`T approve of anything the NSA is doing on American soil to American citizens, I gotta say this one was a no-brainer.

Why listen in to everyone and everything yet fail to cover the communications that occur during MMORPGs?

Heck, you can even run training mock ups of the attacks you want to conduct IRL.

Gah you statistical feats of bamboozlement. Of the millions of people who play/ed wow of course there was a percentage who were involved in illegal/terrorist activities. They`d never use WOW. Wow tracks and records everything. The government didn`t have to sit in chat they just compiled a program that looked for keywords, specific patterns, or anomalies in the available data. Think it`d be as intrusive if they took the entire IAB post record and ran it through a program to check for asshats?

When ever I talk in this authoritative ranty tone I`m usually wrong about one specific piece of information. You know, that one that makes the whole statement untrue.

Just think of what they`re not telling you and what they can do with those new consoles that have cameras and can recognize your voice......
