People in general are just getting bigger. The old height weight standards don`t apply.

I had a BMI of 32 when I got kicked out the military, even though I had 9% body fat.

You also have to check the definition of "Obese", according to Government BMI scales I`m obese (BMI of 33), I`m 5`10" and weigh 230, I can also run 3 miles in 27 minutes, bench press 225 for 15 reps, and do 17 strict pull ups (chin over bar). So there.

Oh and the BMI index? It gives me a 27.8 and says I`m `overweight` when I`m nowhere near it.

From the comment on the bottom of the site....
But they didn`t tell you that the insurance companies have DECREASED the average weight per height during that same period. Average weight for 6 ft 1 in 1985 was 210 lbs.; in 2010 the weight is 180 lbs. See, you manipulate the facts very easily.
Now tell us how your really feel about the US.
