#5 goes deeper. The US armed Iraq with chemical, biological (and conventional) weapons to use against Iran (which they did). Meanwhile the US also sold arms to Iran in secret. These deals were made when the newly created Iran was considered an enemy and was holding hostages from the US Embassy. Also, Iran was purchasing these arms from the US while saying it was the "Great Satan". Iran and Iraq had a decade long war.

Also, the US had those hostages held an extra year until the day after Carter`s presidency as part of whatever secret deals were being made.

Nixon spies on Democratic Campaign: resigns in disgrace.
    Obama spies on EVERYBODY: Nada.

WMD`s `lie` was also stated as fact by: Clinton, Albright, Berger, Levin, daschle, Kerry, Pelosi, Graham, Gore, kennedy, Byrd, Rockerfeller, Waxman, the list goes on.

So, a belief that was held by the majority of intelligence communities around the world is somehow `Bush`s Lie`.

I agree with #1, but #2 should have been:

"Read My Lips..." was NOT a "lie" and it`s good that it wasn`t included on the list! It was DUMB! But when he said it? It was the truth.

#10 Trojan Horse was a military deception...

#9 Now THAT is a real lie! I love how he had to specify WHICH woman he didn`t have relations with = lolz! Jennifer Flowers (his former mistress) or the women who`d accused him of sexual assault?

    #7 Another military one...

#5 Another military one... I suppose. The USA has helped may despots over the years. Weapons, torture, illegal military help: it`s a long list!

#2 Um, no! They believed he had them, because the USA helped him make them! Didn`t they just say that in #5? LMAO! It wasn`t a "lie" but yes it was a mistake. Or plain propaganda, that too.
6:00 What Bush says there is 100% fact!

Plenty of lies to go around! Sadly. 4.0

So Bush didn`t lie, but he had such an itchy trigger finger that he didn`t bother doing some double checking himself to find where the fault was? I quite frankly find that disturbing.

If you like your plan? You can keep your plan.
    Period.
If you like your doctor? You can keep your doctor.
I will close Guantanamo Bay in my first year as President.
    I will reduce the deficit.
Any spending increase will be met with an equal spending CUT.
What I really said was: If you like your plan AND it doesn`t violate the new rules...
I don`t know much about the Rev. Jeremiah Wright...
Who? Bill Ayers? Never heard of him...

I deserve my Nobel Peace Prize! I earned it!

Iraq sent their WMDs to Syria. We should have followed them into Syria and destroyed them, but we didn`t, and this year Syrians died because of it.

some of these are not proven, just speculation, therefore cannot be classed as a lie. If you cannot prove the intentions of the person in question then all you have is speculation.

I could equally claim that david cameron wants to stay in europe because, some speculate, that he personally profits from the UK`s participation in the EU. I have no proof of his intentions or evidence of his supposed profiteering, but i could probably find some evidence that it has been speculated.

Notice Rumsfeld is backing Saddam to gas people in one clip and is there again when falsely accusing him of having WMDs.
My vote though, goes to LBJ for his organising of the JFK assassination.

So, I think it was 50 years ago that Kennedy tried his healthcare reform. It was universally panned by conservatives as socialist, a failure, a fraud, lies, etc., etc. How did it turn out? Oh, yeah, Medicare.

    @MrPeabody,
I always thought the "didn`t inhale" comment was enormously stupid. Either he did inhale, in which case he was lying and shouldn`t be elected president, or he actually didn`t inhale, in which case he was an idiot and shouldn`t be elected president. It was a lose/lose comment.

5cats - WHY do wee need to hear the same opinion over and over? You`re Canadian, so why should you keep voicing opinions about Americas inside politics?

Canada has it`s own problems, why don`t you deal with your own faults before criticizing others?

    Put simply as possible...
No one cares about your opinions enough to hear them multiple times on a daily basis...we all know how you feel, though you don`t have a right to care.

Your political posts rate extremely low, still you post. The majority of IAB doesn`t agree with your political views. The ones who do agree, already know what you feel.

You are quick to criticize politicians who openly defie the peoples will, but you act the same way...as if it is o.k. to say "fu*k what people want...when they are wrong according to me!"

I DO like you. I also agree with much of your politics, but maybe enough is enough.

Less politics on IAB! (especially from Canadians)

@WhoDat: Are you trying to be funny? Honestly, you are being obtuse on purpose, right?

Obama (and the Dems) ADDED $300 Billion to the "Bush Budget" (written & passed by the Dems) AFTER the 2008 election: it`s a fact!

Take the average deficit for Bush, and the average deficit for Obama and tell me: which is HIGHER?

Sweet Singing Shiites Man! I hope to goodness you`re just joking...

The USA did not even HAVE a "2012 budget": only one has passed since Obama took office! It`s all smoke and mirrors, which will be "revised upwards" I have no doubt...

@broizfam: You`ve missed the point: Obama promised to STOP doing those "evil things" which he opposed as a Senator. But he INCREASED THEM! That doesn`t mean "Bush Lied" it means OBAMA LIED. Sheesh. Same for the "Evil Bush Tax Cuts" that Obama re-signed... twice...

They`re playing pretty fast and loose with the definition of a lie. They also betray their blatant left-wing political bias. Bush wasn`t the only one to say Saddam had WMDs.

    @5Cats,
I haven`t missed the point. I don`t like the spying now, didn`t like it when it started, and feel it should be stopped. The fact remains that many conservatives who applauded it when G.W. started it think it`s a horrible thing now that it`s happening under a Democratic president. That may not be the absolute height of hypocrisy but I think it gets pretty close. ie - if it was good under Bush, why is it bad under Obama? I think it`s just bad, without regard for who is presiding over it.

If the Bush Administration KNEW there were no WMD`s before invading then they lied. IF they thought and were convinced there were WMD`s (as most of the western intelligence agencies thought) then they were wrong but did not lie... just saying.

@broizfam: Actually? Quite a few conservatives did NOT like Bush`s draconian spying laws at all!

    Bush`s DHS Laws = X
    Obama`s DHS Laws = X+3

Obama EXPANDED the spying, a lot! It`s the "+3" that most `conservatives` object to! That`s not hypocritical at all!

Same for drone strikes: targeting known enemies in a `war zone` = acceptable to most conservatives.
Targeting American Citizens SUSPECTED to be in a house = NOT acceptable! For a variety of reasons. But that`s what Obama is doing.

@toeachhisown: It`s true: they really did "have evidence" of WMDs, and not finding that many (they DID find SOME after all!) doesn`t disprove their evidence until years later!
We had every reason to "go into" Iraq and remove Saddam, the WMDs were just "frosting on the cake" to make it acceptable for the general public...
