That is Kent Hovind, he is still in prison - for tax fraud, unrelated to his views on science.

I love that means of dismissing something that is said. "Oh, he`s in jail for tax fraud, so that means anything he says about geology must be wrong!"

No. That means that we don`t trust him when he is giving us Tax Advice.

That being said, in his lecture, he does use quotations of questionable origin. We are so quick to go "He`s in jail!" that we miss the fact that he misquotes some very important people in his lecture.

Well, technically you did, and each time you have in the past without prior written permission is a violation of many treaties. But I do forgive you.

"You may now laugh at the silly Christian who does not understand basic science. It is alright, I give you permission."

Thanks, but I didn`t need your permission in the first place.

Although looking at the man and listening to the way he talks paints me a picture of what the unedited speeches will be like, but this is unfair.
Taking pieces of a speech and using these soundbites to show how dumb someone is isn`t fair.
Show a bigger portion of a speech and proof the theories he puts on the table wrong with evidence.

JadesDitoyr -
Do not feel embarrassed or ashamed about your beliefs. You can believe what you want.
It is the right of everyone in the world to believe what they want, without being forced. Being forced is historically how a lot of wars have been started and bigotry perpetuated.
The important thing is that you do not try to impose them on another person, or attempt to indoctrinate other people with your belief.
If your religion and belief makes you a better person and helps improve the life of your fellow beings on the planet, that is good.
I do not have religion; I have travelled the earth, seen space and seen enough of life to know the real truth.
Go in peace.

You are not seeking an actual discussion, you just want the excuses to ridicule, so here. I`ll just provide you with the bullet points.

*I believe the Young Earth Theory.
*I do not believe in Macro-evolution, but micro-evolution is undeniable. (Creation of subspecies through genetic manipulation is not creation of new creatures. Dogs from wolves, yes. Canine and Feline having a common ancestor, no.)
*The Geographical Column is unreliable for dating.

You may now laugh at the silly Christian who does not understand basic science. It is alright, I give you permission.

There is NO valid discussion beyond the humanities where the quote "false flag by people fighting to keep creationism out of textbooks" or any other statement indicating that creationism in any textbook, ever, in any form, is a valid discussion to be having, in any way.

So there are people like most of us in this world, who go to work everyday and contribute our value-added difference to society.. whatever good we produce or service we provide. Then there`s people like this jackoff.. who get up every day being a human waste while actually subtracting value from society.

`Surely there is no man on this earth quite as stupid as that IRL. `

What about the people listening to him and paying good money to boot.

How does he know all this stuff? Did he make it up? Nope, he read it in a text-book, so it must be true. Lies. Umm er...

@Jades
You just identified yourself as a Creationist. You lose. End of story.
But please, tell us how your version/perception of it is correct.

@Draculya

Onca again, the clips were taken specifically from the worst of the jokes from his lectures, and placed out of order to imply sentiments that are not within his lecture.

He is not as stupid as he appears from this, though he is mistaken on several points in his lecture - so much so that the rest of us Creationists call him on the misquotes and fabricated quotes that he utilized.

I`m sure this is a false flag by people fighting to keep creationism out of textbooks. Surely there is no man on this earth quite as stupid as that IRL.

Yes, but his tax fraud has nothing to do with the evidence that he presented. (Some fictionalized.)

Hovind is criticized by Creationists as well as Non-Creationists.

I do like how whomever cut this 2 hour lecture into a two minute clip show missed his outright falsehoods and just put some of his bad jokes in the wrong order.

He`s selling snake oil, of course he has to lie in his sales pitches. He sounds very much like a late night infomercial.
