@CrakrJak,
Were they really not aware of that? They`re political comedians and use the news as their fodder for comedy but, yeah, they`re actually comedians, folks.

FFS, both Colbert and Stewart are COMEDIANS! They are NOT news reporters. The real joke is that people actually believe their so called "reporting". Might as well be getting your news from Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny.

@ normal freak. I totally agree that it is a humorous and not a political post. But the reason I put my comment on here was because I wanted someone to respond and it would not happen if i posted in a political post.

@smagboy I am sensing you are being condesending "I think i understand basic economics." hard to tell since not a lot of context clues in a written sentence. But thanks for the explanation nontheless. makes sense.

@shagthefag: I`m no mod, but I think I understand basic economics. As such, I`ll give what I think is the answer. Websites that exist on advertiser dollars (versus, say, subscription fees), need site hits and unique site hits (e.g. visitors). They need to demonstrate to potential clients (e.g. advertisers) that they receive a lot of hits. Too, it`s nice when the visiters behind those hits click through to the advertiser`s pages.

What does that have to do with politics and IAB? What posts drive the most comments, the most clicks, the most traffic? By a long shot? As a result, who visits the site most to see those types of posts? Users interested in political posts and arguments. Who then, of course, suggest links that are political in nature. So, ad money, users who are interested in politics and click the links, and users who suggest political links.

Sound about right?

@Shag Of all the posts to call political I wouldn`t call this one that. It`s more humor than anything.

O`Reilly says some crazy things, but he`s always been a good sport with Stewart and Colbert.

Colbert & O`reilly are both characters.

Neither are real people.

If you think one or the other is a real human persona then I`ve got a bridge to sell you.

Thus this is about two actors, not two political figures.

Obvious.

Can a mod, or someone that is in a decisionmaking position with this website answer this question for me? When did IAB turn into such a political website. The frequency of political posts have reached annoying levels. I am all for politics. eff the democrats or repubtards whoever you have learnt to hate. But can we not do it on this website. atleast not at this high frequency.
