    If anything close to this was actually happening, it might be mildly amusing.

    In FACT what the MSM did was blame BUSH for everything, including things Obama and the Democrats did! THAT is a fact.

    This is just pure fiction! Are y`all IAB-Liberals trying to equate Obama`s FAWNING coverage over Sandy with Bush`s DEMONIZATION over Katrina? They both did the EXACT same things!

    Amazing how the IAB-Liberals look at COMEDY and completely believe it`s NEWS...

    Obama has lied from day one, that`s a fact! And the MSM FINALLY starts calling him on his lies? MUST BE A VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY!

    You don`t have to be a republican to think Obama has turned out to be a right mean person of a guy since he was first elected.

    Being a Brit, I can`t really get to grips with why so many Americans wouldn`t want a universal health system...but I wouldn`t blame them for not believing a word he says on the matter because the only think the guy has consistently done since he got elected is lie about things and carry on lots of policies that he promised to change if he got elected.

    He`s just not honest or trustworthy, and it`s a real shame because I think a lot of people in the US and around the world had some real hope when the first black president was elected that it signified some real shift - in reality he`s turned out to just be another lying politician with no moral integrity.

    Listypoos: "I can`t really get to grips with why so many Americans wouldn`t want a universal health system"

    Most Americans DO want a universal healthcare system. But, it has to be a GOOD universal healthcare system. We can`t simply copy the way another country does it because we have our own government hierarchy. We also shouldn`t just accept the first thing thrown at us. Obamacare is not bad because it is universal, it is bad because it makes two serious, fundamental errors. 1) It is untested for effectiveness. It`s a horrible idea to make a change of this magnitude and not test it first on a small sample of real citizens. Use the test environment to work out the flaws, and then implement. 2) It doesn`t address and fix the main flaw of American medicine, where medical procedures are insanely overpriced. Real affordable care is affordable if a poor person can afford to visit a clinic and pay cash for services rendered. Obamacare is a joke.

    1. We don`t want to wait 3-12 months to see a doctor.

    2. We don`t want some cold-hearted bastard like Obama telling us our mom doesn`t deserve a pacemaker because she`s too old, and we should just take her home and give her a pill, or some nasty rotten khunt like Sebelius telling us our daughter is too young for a lung transplant, and we should just take her home to die.

    3. When our entire health care system turns to $#!+, as it inevitably would, there won`t be anywhere for us to go like the Canadians who come here by the thousands to keep from dying on a f***ing waiting list.

    @OldOllie

    1. No one waits in endless lines to see a doctor. Actually, as an American in Canada, I had to take my small infant to the doctors. Not only did I get right in, he stayed open late to help us out on what to do next. He also told me to come back the next day to settle up and didnt take my name. The charge for a late night emergency call after hours....$40 US.

    2. No one is ever or has ever been told that. If you mother needs a pacemaker, she gets one unless it is too dangerous for your mother to put her under, like she is too old and wont make it through surgery. There is no age limit for a lim transplant, that case was a child under 12 wanted to be put on the adult list. She was and got the lung, which failed and she had to have another.

    3. What?

    You are the unfortunate victim on mis and just plain wrong information.

    "Where do you get your information? Sounds like Fox News or one of their many associated entities, which is unfortunate."

    No, Fox news is a US news channel, and one aimed at viewers with a right of centre political bias...and as I stated in my opening sentence about not having to be a republican to not think he`s honest I thought I`d made it clear that my politics aren`t to the right...they`re centre and if it was just a two party system like yours I`d vote Democrat if anything. Of course I`ve heard of fox news and no doubt if I bothered to look around on the sat channels I`m sure I`d find it but mainly I get my news from the Independent newspaper and either the BBC news website or the reuters one.

    Lauriloo, two quick questions.... did Obama as part of his first election campaign promise to close Guantanamo bay holding camp immediately upon election? Is it now closed?

    Listypoos, that`s fine. The problem is the massive and truly unprecedented obstructionism he`s had to deal with. You can intend to do all sorts of things, but when the other party stonewalls you at every turn, literally (and provably) makes it their mission to ensure that you`re a one-term president, it`s kind of tough to meet your promises.

    So, while I agree that there have been some problems with his policies, and it`s important that he take responsibility for his shortcomings, laying the blame so squarely on him really *is* FOXNews territory, and terribly ignorant of the nuance happening here.

    In reality though, it hasn`t really been very effective - especially not in the case of Obamacare.

    If you`re specifically talking about Obamacare (which I assume based on the previous comments), then the fact of the matter is that the GOP has not been able to impact it significantly. The delay tactics have all failed. The Democrats passed in through both Chambers of Congress without a single GOP vote.

    The filibusters and shutdown were temporary delay tactics. At most, they merely slowed Obama down.

    Specifically in regards to Obamacare, what has the GOP done to obstruct or alter Obama`s plans/hopes/dreams? Nothing. They didn`t get any compromises in Obamacare because the Dems didn`t need to compromise to pass the bill.

    @SmagBoy1 and @lauriloo: You keep referring to Republican things, but have yet to actually SHOW ONE! Not ONE SINGLE THING!
    That`s because the ACA is 100% Obama and the Dems. It`s ALL them! They wrote it (NO Repubs allowed) voted for it (NO Repubs did) and amended it (NO Repub changes have been implemented). PERIOD.

    @ListyPoos: Obama also ran against:
    Rendition: He expanded it.
    Drones: He tripled their use.
    NSA: Expanded it.
    Bush Tax Cuts: Re-signed them.
    Increasing the Deficit: He DOUBLED it!

    There`s more too. But somehow? These things just don`t seem to matter when Obama does them...

    Bush`s Surge: Opposed vocally by MSM and "anti-war protests"
    Obama`s Surge: *crickets*

    & etc.
