elkingo: Exactly. There`s a very good chance these guys were interrupting Remembrance Day ceremonies (you can hear a bugle and a flypast at different points). Getting arrested gets you on the news – it`s a pretty common tactic by native activists.

I`m American living in Canada... let me tell you this country is RACIST. Especially against indians (they call them first nation people here). This country is SUPER DUPER RACIST. I`m serious.

There isn`t enough context to decide who is wrong here.

Flags and protests aside, you get zero extra rights for being a veteran- zero.
And the annoying douche bag yammering over and over, "He`s a veteran, a veteran", could do with a bit of police brutality.

Yeah, being a veteran encompasses everything from genuine hero to a couple of years in the motor pool at Fort Baxter.

This guy wasn`t nicked for carrying a flag, he was nicked for responding to fairly polite police by telling them, `drat off, you can`t tell me what to drating do. I`ll do whatever I drating want.` Repeatedly.

That`s not a dialogue that will end well.

Obviously background is needed, but he was looking for a confrontation and not there to honour the fallen.

I don`t understand - saying "I`m a veteran" means you shouldn`t be arrested?

Yeah, there`s a lot of this across Canada: Aboriginals who think the whole country still "belongs to them" and expect financial compensation...

Fortunately? MOST Native Canadian people aren`t like this at all!

No doubt he and his friends went there to get arrested, and they got their wish! They are clearly racists, an affront to all good people everywhere.

2:50 Is that a homeless white guy off to the side? Sort of ironic, eh?

He was arrested for acting like a prick.
It`s wrong to get arrested for being a prick, but I just wanted to clarify that.

Seems to me he wanted to be arrested.

edana, whatever the reason he flew his tribal flag, if he is a veteran, than the police had no reason to bother him for celebrating remembrance day to begin with.

However, like most videos like this we do not see this from the beginning of the confrontation and cannot make a great judgement call against either of them.

Oh, Canada. Looks as though your police are following the footsteps of our own.

oh, yeah, white people, right?

I know, I know - bad bad police. The guys did that just to stir up sh*t. And were they saying "F*ck" every other few words? I`d say the police handled themselves professionally
