@Gerry - they made a pretty bad call, at least according to American law - but, will anyone be in his corner to fight, should he choose to? Probably no-one respectable.

If teachers can get fired over "improper" facebook images I don`t see how him getting fired wouldn`t happen. Even if he didn`t mean Nazi, someone has to be the scapegoat to save the company`s face.

@ AvatarJohn, Okay, a Nazi can be fire for his "racist" belief. Then based on your logic, (as the bible endorses slavery, promotes polygamy and tells you to beat the crap out of children) all christians can be fired for this warped belief. It`s been going on a long time and christianity has killed untold millions. We should definately fire them.

If you can fire someone for parts of his personal life you don`t like {a failed marriage {cheating}} then you could fire them for being gay, or democrat or republican. Or maybe you don`t like Libertarians. "Nazi" is a political party... stupid yes, but still just a political party.

Gerry: Yes, he should be fired for being a stupid racist prick. I would never have that person working for me, I don`t care how good they are at their job. I also think it`s okay to fire someone for cheating on their spouse, because if your wife/husband can`t trust you, why should your boss? I think there are plenty of good reasons that have nothing to do with job performance to be fired for. It`s not your right to have that job, it`s the right of your employer to hire or fire you as they see fit.

UPDATE: The owner of this is a school bus driver. He was put on suspension from his job for this license plate LINK and TV reported this morning he has been fired.

What do you think IAB? Should you lose your job over a tasteless license plate? Is it relevant to your ability to perform your job? No law was broken so what`s up with that?

@Zuriel Did Christianity begin in 1920 and finish in 1945? No? Not a fair comparison then.

@Zuriel

+1, though I don`t think comparing them to genocide by Christians makes the Nazis any more acceptable.

I saw "MTHRFKR" on a plate about 15 years ago. I was surprised that it slipped through. Seemed pretty obvious to me.

A local news channel reported this plate so the DMV is now "looking into it" which means they`ll repeal it. Without the swastika it`s not really obvious what "not see" meant.

no worse than "MANOFGD".... christians killed millions more than the nazi-tards ever did

different sides of the coin, maybe... but still the same damn coin

Amazing how it slipped through! Most places have strict controls over personalized plates.

"Banana" was banned in Manitoba (Canada) as too offensive! At least for a while; I think it`s out there now.
