I`d buy it, I do love food and cooking it for friends, but doing it for myself everyday is, to me, a huge drag.

I doubt any of us will give up the pleasure of food just yet, however this has some insane benefits. Think of the people in 3rd world countries that could be using this to pad their diets and make up for the nutrients they are missing!

i think he should not regulate taste to a low priority. it could be the elixir of immortality and eternal youth, but if you cant stand to choke it down it might as well be a ink less pen, useless.

It would be nice to take with me for lunch. $3 for a lunch is much more attractive than $10+ when you`re broke.

The only thing I could see going wrong is unless they are 1 serving portions, there is no guarantee you are getting the exact quantities of each thing with a certain amount of food.

I wouldn`t mind solyent as a brunch and post dinner snack. At the least food is a minor inconvenience at the most it is a huge pain in the ass.

I couldn`t see subsisting solely on Soylent but as a nutritional food substitution, I would definitely use it frequently in place of regular meals for both convenience AND health.

I quite fancy this, I like my food- but I frequently either forget or can`t be bothered to eat and keeping my weight up is a chore.

Who knows what the combination of chemicals, enzymes, and bacteria are in foods that react with each other and in what quantities. the idea of just a certain amount chemicals proteins and such can be quantified is ridiculous. What does this stuff do to your digestive system? ....I would not do this ...I love the taste of food too much

Haven you ever wondered if thin and heavy people taste differently? Here`s a guy who apparently doesn`t give a rat`s little pink one what his food tastes like - he only needs fuel. And I`ll bet he`s thin as a rail. I`ve known people like that. Could the converse be true? Might it be that a lot of fat people taste the flavours of various foods so intensely that they virtually become addicted?
