Same lies, different day. I was raised in Los Angeles, white male... I experience racism ALL THE TIME... and this video is another example of racism... how... well, this teacher suggests that the insulted girl needs to apologize to all the people of "color"... so ONLY people of color are discriminated against... COME TO LOS ANGELES AND TELL ME WHITE PEOPLE NEVER FEEL RACISM!!! And "Kerry" can change her clothes, `cause she`s white????? What if she`s gay, she can change that???? She will never feel descrimination for that??? This lady is racist as heck

Dude, you didn`t get the lesson being taught in the video. Institutional racism has nothing to do with individual, one-on-one interactions.

As for feeling discriminated against in LA, I hear you. But that`s not the lesson being discussed in this video. At all.

both parts were riddled with individual examples, not wide spread statistics. makes for better emotional appeal i guess. personally, i think she missed the mark here. its not a race thing, its a class thing.

    Ugh...

The girl is a big crybaby.
The professor clearly has an agenda and is not open to any discussion on the subject.

"Kerry is determined to see this from her own agenda..."

    Pot meet kettle.

    Ugh.. what is this crud?

When will people learn that the only race is the human race?

Culture is different. Some subcultures are defined predominantly by skin color, but that doesn`t mean other skin colors can`t take part of another`s subculture.

I knew a successful black guy. He was smart, funny, and down to earth. Whenever another black guy walked in, he`d suddenly change as if to keep up appearances.

I asked him, one day, why he did that.

His answer was "It`s not `black` to speak intelligently."

So, I could only conclude that black culture shuns the intelligent, and/or educated, and that it`s "white" to be such.

At around 3:00 she tells the girl she cant come in until she says sorry to the colored students for being able to walk out and have it stop... to say sorry for being white. Yes it happens less and usualy less severly but thats racist just as much as asking a black kid to say sorry for being black. she tried to teach about anti rascism but just kinda spread her own kind.

    LOL, what is this???

Phosphoreign, yep. When my Dutch girlfriend was first in New York, she and her friends went to the Bronx for this fake "Little Italy" and were told "you`re in the wrong neighborhood", and "White girls gone wild". And later they were in Jackson Heights and got stared at by all the Indians. I was personally told that I was a "useless nagger" in one of NYC`s fine fine neighborhoods.

Skypirate, it`s definitely about class. I have an Asian friend who convinced me of this. He says Asians have no problem because they`re the richest and most educated group.

The weirdest thing that she says is, "You can`t generalize about a whole group of people", and then literally says "APOLOGIZE TO ALL THE BLACK PEOPLE FOR BEING A WHITE PERSON".

So I watched all of the parts to this and read a little bit about this lady. Apparently she thinks the female name "Debby" and "Suzy" are sexist because they infantalize women. You know, kind of like sexist names like Jimmy (Carter), Harvey (Oswald), Andy (Richter), Bobby (Jindal), Gary (Johnson), Indy (Jones), or Woody (Allen).

So that kind of explains everything you need to know about this warped little weirdo.

I`ve seriously met more racist "people of colour" than white people. The only difference is you don`t hear white people bitch about it every chance they get.

The tutor has zero empathy. She sees a problem and everything is a symptom of that problem. She has one tool and it will be used. Traumatising kids in this way is not cool. She is being divisive, not inclusive. You can challenge pre-conceptions and assumptions without being such a total douche about it.

This crazy thing is still teaching?? Ha..

A little background - she conducted a segregation experiment on little children in the early 70s I think, in which she separated blue and brown eyed people. She made one group feel like less of people because of it, in order to try and teach about racism. What she ended up doing was causing life long emotional scars, but hey its okay cause "black people suffer."

She should have been banned from teaching then, but somehow this crazy ass is seen as "relevant" and "cutting edge".

All she is doing in reality is making people feel inferior for a base characteristic they have in order to show how other people feel. Its truly horrid how her methodology is seen is a good thing.

Why did the one student have to apologize to all the black and hispanic people but not the white people when she interrupted the class by returning? And later on, she says the white girl can change her clothes and change her hair, but the black guy can`t change the color of his skin. Well, the white girl can`t change her skin color, either. And I`m pretty sure the black guy can change his clothes and hair.

In the US, black and white people come from different cultures and have been put into the pot together. Some people have been able to successfully make positive connections, but the cultures are still miles apart, and headed in different directions. White people seem to want to maintain the current status quo, which is a dangerous stance if you consider at some point, black people were in shackles. Black people obviously want change because the game of life in the US is rigged - poorer public education systems and fewer resources means fewer properly college-bound mino

I don`t think she learned what it`s like to suffer racism as much as she got bullied by an angry old hag with a chip on her shoulder.

Seems like a lot of those kids are just parroting what she is spouting so they don`t become the focus of her questionable methods and abuse.
And what is this crap about "they can`t change their color." No one can change their color. I understand what she is trying to say but again her methods are just whacked.
It is cool they got Michael Cera to play one of the leads but i`m not sure i`m digging his blonde hair.

Facythat: "Black people obviously want change because the game of life in the US is rigged.."

Right now it`s rigged in favor of minorities because of affirmative action. And guess what, minorities still have it worse off in terms of unemployment and income.

It`s the thug culture that is hurting minorities, NOT white people. No one wants to hire a thug, no matter what color they are. The "system" isn`t letting people down, their made-up fake thug culture is, and it needs to be changed in a positive way.

There`s equal amount of racism from both sides
True -- blacks (12.6% of the population) produce just as much racism as whites (72.4% of the population), which makes them ~6 times more racist.

I didn`t watch the whole video but I`ve seen this experiment done a few times. Only when I saw it the experiment was about bullying and trying to teach compassion. It`s a great experiment for teaching young kids about bullying, but it seemed a little silly here.

Good for the teacher she used simple psychological demonstrate that people don`t like to be bullied. She then applied this to all people in the room. Then this mean person has the audacity to apply this to racism. I really hope they poo can her ass.

@DuckBoy87 I hope that people will learn that all races are "the human race" as soon as coonts like this stop presenting mob mentality as racial bias. There is absolutely no correlation between the two.
