Seen a few of these videos recently, and whilst I applaud any actions taken to help another person who may need a hand, and it is nice to see them treated as worthy people. However- I feel very uncomfortable with it being used as- what- entertainment? It seems self aggrandising on behalf of the film maker and make me feel like a voyeur..

Madduck, maybe you`re right. But maybe it will inspire others to help someone. So that`s good.

I`m with Gerry on this one.

Sorry sweety, i hear your point, but i`d rather see this then another spoiled teenage brat with first world problems. This gives me hope for humanity.

True, and God knows we need a little more kindness- but I do have issues with the vulnerable being used in this way... they so badly need the help, if they refuse to be filmed will the help be denied?

I`m with madduck on this one. It seems every time you see these things there is an agenda tied to it. Just do it and don`t go making youtube videos about it. Word of mouth will go around in the area and hopefully more people will do likewise. It just seems to demean the process when you do it for a reason other than pure kindness.

There Aint No Such Thing As A Free Lunch.
If the price of giving me a ticket home when I`m stranded and starving is you get to feed me and put me up in a hotel then I will happily acquiesce to your demand.

I agree with Gerry, madduck i understand what you mean and is true, but this is one of the rare cases in wich both sides have an advantage and not only one over the skin of the other. So i just hope that videos like this one could be an example.

See your point but the guy got an outcome he had presumably despaired of and the video seemed to me to be not so much self aggrandising but more saying that helping make a change in someone`s life is possible and not scary.

If they decline to be filmed would the help be denied? That is a very valid question. I gather from the video that they were distributing warm clothes to the homeless. I`m assuming they asked permission to film and that those who declined still got a free garment. Those who agreed presumably had more interaction with the donors and it was during that interaction they learned his story.

On the whole I`m going with, `Well done, guys.` and if they are feeling good about themselves then that is as it should be. Helping a fellow human (or non-human of sufficient cuteness) feels good for a reason; we evolved these feelings before we were even human. Enjoy.

Madduck, you are right. If someone does charitable work just to get approval they really aren`t that great a person. But the bottom line is a man who was stranded, couldn`t speak the language, homeless, hungry, a man who was afraid he`d never see his son and daughter again will go home.

Even if an ass hole buys the ticket does it matter?

Yeah whatever, that`s not charity, it`s youtube hit trolling.

I once helped a stranded Mongolian chick, rescued her from traffickers, sorted out her passport, gave her my coat and put her on a flight to Ulan Bator. That wasn`t charity either, that was because she was an awesome shag.

This should be what Americans do. I find this inspirational. I don`t see it as self-aggrandizing. We all have our opinions. I`m just happy to see someone get some help. That`s an expensive and labor intensive act just for the purpose of patting one`s own back.

Because there seems to be a question of the morality of the people doing the deed.

Who cares if it`s patting oneself on the back. If more people got honest enjoyment from feeling good about themselves after helping someone then I think that is a huge win.

Self gratifying is fine if it makes someones life better. Don`t second guess a person that is helping someone ever. That simply teaches people to not help someone in fear of looking like a self gratifying prick, when it is totally normal to feel good about yourself after making someone feel good. And it`s a perfectly normal human response to want to share the things that make you happy.

Everyone should help others and not be ashamed of it. Who cares the intent, someone was helped, their life bettered. Shame on you for judging a kind act.

There is one thing about this video that no one has touched on that I think needs talking about. These guys spent a lot of their own money/ the companies money on this one guy. How else are they going to get their own money back without making a video promoting their brand. This allows them to continue their efforts in helping the homeless which creates more good. Who cares if they make this video to support their clothing line if the money they would make from this video allows them to help more people.

Umm who cares what they are promoting? If this story is true, I can guarantee you Jaroslav doesn`t mind that they were promoting a clothing product.
If we were to stop people from doing outstanding things because they get small return, then we are lost.
    Awesome job guys.
