    "Very heavily post processed."

    What do you expect? You can mod the game to make it better, why not the song?

    @MrOrange, there is no flanger or delay and it is in the original key. That is her normal voice and guitar recorded clean with a boatload of reverb added to the mains. There may be some compression but it is only slight and probably used for track separation, if it`s there.

    Given the atmosphere of the song, the extra reverb works.

    Ugh, I bought Skyrim months ago and have yet to put it in the XBox. Now that my gigs are done for the year it might be time to give it a try.

    @Patchouly

    i`ll take your word for it, though i am curious as to what effects the filter "ambient church" in logitec studio uses. i`m dying to say i hear delay.. and i hear a pitch drop. But, since you said nope, and since i don`t have anthing to back up my suspicion..
    i`m just going to post this lovely video were she talks about the song and flashes those gorgous, slightly crosseyed eyes

    @MrOrange,
    "Ambient Church" and other "Cathedral" VSTs are usually simple reverbs with an EQ boost to certain frequencies. With a large enough "room", you can hear a slight delay, but the decay is so strong that it is evident that it is a reverb and not a delay. With a delay, the bounced sound is stronger and clearer.

    Are you a musician, MrOrange? If you are and do home recording, I have some amazing links to free VSTs that are better than some paid ones I`ve used. And by free I mean "actually free" not "torrent".

    @patchouly

    I wish i could say i was! but alas no, i`m the owner of a bass and i`m having a go at playing it. The upside of it is that i`m learning to listen to music all over again, which is actually suprisingly cool. I love music, and now my ears are slowly getting better.

    and yourself? musician or sound engineer?

    @MrOrange,
    I was a professional road musician for 7 years (playing six nights a week, 50 weeks a year), from 1989 to 1996. After that I started doing studio work and taught at a local music school. Now I have a home studio and do administration and moderation for Guitar Player Magazine and my own forums; The Stringnetwork. If you ever feel like getting into home recording, stop by and introduce yourself. I learned a lot of my chops from some of the pro studio owners at Guitar Player.
