A Machine Gun Firing Robot Demonstration

This is a little tank robot with a MG-240 machine gun mount that can accurately hit targets from 150-meters. The chains are there to prevent it from breaking free, because apparently BREAKING FREE IS AN ACTUAL POSSIBILITY. Other highlights of the show included a BigDog demonstration and a self-driving golf cart.

Companies show off their latest robotic killing machines with the hopes the Army will buy them.

    So effectively the Sarah Connor chronicles estimate of Judgement Day (April 21, 2011) is basically still about 25 years too early. All you need now is for AI to catch up and then it`s game over.

    Pshhh, put a M2 .50 Cal Browning machine gun mounted with a telescopic sight and you`ll increase the lethal range to 2,286 meters. Switch the ammunition to M903 SLAP rounds and they`ll take out targets behind an inch of steel at 1,200 metres.

    I`m a liberal socialist who thinks the world needs fewer guns and that the military-industrial complex is toxic to mankind. But, damn, I love this stuff.

    Interesting thoughts:

    * A robot is a multi-million dollar target.
    * Mechanical noise may give away a position
    * Imagine if a foreign part manufacturer built in a backdoor

    And the mother of them all:

    Get ready for Silver on Blue(tm)

    That`s right, you heard it here first on Nov 5th, 2013. `Silver-on-Blue`

    @Draculya
    What is silver on blue? And what type of backdoor are we talking about? Something like this?
