Thank you for the information, but I don`t see how it`s got anything to do with dubtac`s choice of language.

In my book, dubtac doesn`t get excused for using racial epithets because someone else is getting away with it.

Musuko42-"I don`t know who Nagin is or know what he said"

Who he is: Clarence Ray Nagin, Jr. Democratic Mayor of New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, who managed to royally screw up the city`s preperations, handling and response to the hurricane. His ineptitude was directly responsible for many of New Orleans deaths during Katrina.

AFTER Katrina he said in a speech: "We as black people, it`s time, it`s time for us to come together. It`s time for us to rebuild a New Orleans, the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans. And I don`t care what people are saying Uptown or wherever they are. This city will be chocolate at the end of the day. New Orleans will be a majority African-American city. It`s the way God wants it to be."

"SKIDMARK Nagin says this is a chocolate city and you just avoid it by redacting with rhetorical questions."

I don`t know who Nagin is or know what he said, so I didn`t express an opinion on him. I saw what you said, though, so I expressed my opinion.

"What you really wanted to ask..."

I was trying to point out to you that if you talk in a way that makes people think you`re an ignorant bigot, (regardless of whether you are or not) they`re going to treat you like one, and you`re going to struggle to get anyone to take you seriously.

And I was trying to get you to wonder whether you`re not listened to by the people in power because of how you speak.

"this has to do with FREEDOM from BIGOTRY"

I`m not sure how you expect to be free from others inflicting bigotry on you, when you yourself use racial epithets that others would consider bigotry against them. Do unto others?

"And how do you KNOW he isn`t BLACK?"

I don`t. But I made what I felt was a fair assumption based on him saying that "whitey" wasn`t welcome there. I infered that he was talking about himself.

"Tell me how ANYONE could build a site which crashes under a load of 2,000?"

@Muksuko42 "The question I asked you was whether or not you believe politicans/government/the people in power would consider him vulgar and racist, and whether they would be less inclined to pay attention to his views because of their impression of him."
The question you asked was meant to stay introverted but you still defecated the question anyway. If you couldn`t see the obvious that I really don`t give two flying feces throwing baboons about what you or what any government, politician or principality has to say, FREEDOM isn`t a POPULARITY CONTEST, this has to do with FREEDOM from BIGOTRY presented from all walks of life.
SKIDMARK Nagin says this is a chocolate city and you just avoid it by redacting with rhetorical questions.
What you really wanted to ask "Is DUBTAC a RACIST?".... Can I confirm he`s a Racist?.. If I decide he is a Racist how to call him out as an RACIST?....
You`re right Musuko42 I`m racist I can`t even stand my own Stereotype

This is amazing (if true):

Know how many views it took to crash the ASA Website?
2,000,000?
200,000?

Guess Again! It Took 2,000 Views!

And BOOM! Down it went! Tell me how ANYONE could build a site which crashes under a load of 2,000? Was that a design feature?

@Musuko42: He`s speaking in his "regional dialect" :-) It`s like a Canadian saying "eh" eh?

And how do you KNOW he isn`t BLACK? If he is? The "Rule OF Political Correctness" say it`s A-OK for him to use "colourful words" :-)

See what I did there? Coloured? Colourful words to describe coloured people? I`m a genius!

Musuko42-" asked you was whether or not you believe politicans/government/the people in power would consider him vulgar and racist"

Again, to the politicans/government/the people in power `vulgar` and `racist` are fluid terms.

They would only find him `vulgar and racist` if he was a white, heterosexual male who voted for the wrong party.

If he`s a minority/voter/celebrity or donates enough, he can say anything he damn well pleases and will be defended to the ends of the earth. (examples: Anthony Weiner, Joe `7-11` Biden, Harry `Negro Dialect` Reid, Jay-`no whites allowed`-Z,)

On the other hand, if he votes for the wrong party, he can be called a racist without even saying anything.

@Musuko42, of course those parties would find @dubtac`s words vulgar and/or racist. But they would only focus on one "race"*. They would completely ignore the usage of "cracker". And they would be wrong.

*Note: I don`t believe in race. Skin color, yes; culture, yes; race, no.

I didn`t ask whether or not you disagree with his use of the terms, or whether or not you think they`re vulgar or racist.

The question I asked you was whether or not you believe politicans/government/the people in power would consider him vulgar and racist, and whether they would be less inclined to pay attention to his views because of their impression of him.

Musuko42-"Whether you agree with his use of those epithets or not, do you agree or disagree with the above view?"

I dissagree with it, and will make determination on a case by case basis.

For one reason, `vulger` and `racist` are fluid concepts that change depending on usage and user. (example: certain words that are used on a hip-hop album with no problem are oftened deemed `racist` if others use them. Thus, the words themselves are not racist nor vulger.)

The reason I didn`t have a problem with his statement is he didn`t single out one demographic, and his statement (to me) was an obvious reference to something a former mayor had said. NO`s main problem is it`s well advanced slide into democrat pollicie.

Had he said something along the lines of `it`s the spades` fault NO is a trash heap`, then I would have considered that to be racist.

Can we go back to my original point:

I suggested that the powers that be do not take ubtac`s views seriously because he is the kind of person who uses vulger racist epithets.

Whether you agree with his use of those epithets or not, do you agree or disagree with the above view?

Musuko42-"With offensive epithets used."

My original version said `While not politically correct...`, but got lost in re-typing.

I don`t worry too much about someone who calls every single demographic by it`s less than PC epithet. Had he specified just one that would have demonstrated bias.

I would have added `Coon-ass`, and I doubt there is a single coon-ass in LA that would be offended by being called such.

Musuko42-"You speak like that..."

Then you`re not paying attention.

"aka Chocolate City": Mayor Nagin (black Democrat) called it that.

"whitey is not welcomed": Mayor Nagin also insinuated that with the above.

"its a poo hole": It is.

"with high taxes": It has.

"with a coon, a cracker,a wetback, and a zipperhead problem": Pretty much an accurate description of the demographics of Nawlins.

There is a REASON why New Orleans had the hardest time after Katrina, and it wasn`t because it was hardest hit (which it was not). It`s because NO was one of the great socialist experiments..where the majority are on the dole and waited for Momma Government to take care of them.

This is exactly what I`m getting at, 5Cats. You are not going to grow as a person if you automatically think everyone who disagrees with you does so because they are a zombie obediently following what they`re told from the media, rather than actually disagreeing with you because they are another thinking human being who has thought about things just as much as you do and has reached a different point of view for valid reasons.

The more you act like that, the less we listen to you, and the more you shoot yourself in the foot when it comes to actually convincing someone to your point of view.

Remember: I`m a "liberal" in your opinion, and yet I agreed with you regards Zimmerman. You`re talking to people, not labels.

"the government is just trying to figure out how to cash in on the people who live outside the concrete jungles"

I think the problem is a bit more nuanced than that.
- The Dems are ideally trying to reign in healthcare costs without pissing of businesses who rake in $$$ b/c healthcare has an inelastic demand curve
- The Dems are ideally trying to get tax $$$ to pay for these programs by trying to restore previous tax levels without pissing off businesses/people who have used tax loopholes to pay much less in taxes than they have before
- The Dems are ideally trying to make the problem more transparent by forcing everyone to see how much $$$ they`re paying and see how healthcare costs correlate with one another.

I say "ideally" because even tho` Dems look like they`re trying to do these things, they`re still in the pocket of big businesses and are making very limited progress towards these goals.

This isn`t about 5cats, this is about a fundemental change in geopolitcal societies thought processes. Its a real simple concept to grasp more people are condensed into metropolitan areas so they have more political representation for just a relatively small area couple square miles counts for an entire states electoral votes.
When this happens the large metropolitan areas speak for our entire land mass including alaska and hawaii.
Lets face it if you can afford to live in a city you can afford healthcare and should have to pay for it. For me the nearest city is New Orleans aka Chocolate City so whitey is not welcomed and its a poo hole with high taxes, with a coon, a cracker,a wetback, and a zipperhead problem.
Alas this isnt the problem, the government is just trying to figure out how to cash in on the people who live outside the concrete jungles. Thats the problem people who still believe in personal responsibilities don`t get heard in the halls of our government.

@WhoDat: So a STATE PROGRAM isn`t mentioned on a graph about the FEDERAL PROGRAM and you claim this makes it "false"?

THEY ARE TWO SEPERATE THINGS! Of course this chart doesn`t count the STATE-RUN EXCHANGES! Jesus Tapdancing Christ! It doesn`t count Siberia either! I looked it up: NY State has it`s OWN sign-up site, NOT THE ONE THIS GRAPHIC COVERS! Sheesh!
claiming it`s 100% correct.
Noooo, I`ve rarely made THAT assertion! :-)

It`s "The Interwebs" after all! An ounce of caution is ALWAYS required! I`ve been falsely accused of this though, like... JUST NOW for example!

And that 40,000? Did they BUY insurance? The final step? Or did they "complete registration" which is NOT?

When I posted "pro-Zimmerman" posts? It was "too many, too racist, not factual, biased sources" & etc. SAME. DAMN. THING I`m hearing now!
Why? Because it "offends their liberal sensitivities" to consider a perspective OTHER THAN the MSM`s spoon-fed lies.

ObamaCare is a multi-trillion dollar DISASTER! Of course it`s interesting to talk about it! And while the MSM support goes entirely to "one side"? That doesn`t mean I have to agree with them. If that makes my opinion "unpopular" with the IAB-LB? Tough! They don`t like me anyhow! NO MATTER WHAT I POST.

I don`t come here to make liberals happy. That`s not "my job" or even my problem!

That should read: Mississipi, New Hampshire, and Virginia.
New Hampshire requires the party at fault to pay the judgment levied against them
Virginia allows gives you the option of an uninsured vehicle fee.

"The reason 5Cats is attacked is because he posts false, misleading and/or partial information, claiming it`s 100% correct."

I`m not sure even 5Cats believes that all of his posts are 100% correct. Most propaganda is hyperbolic in order to get a point across. Is this chart misleading to somebody who doesn`t understand how statisticians can twist the facts? Absolutely. But whatever. It`s propaganda. The point is that the website sucks, even if the numbers are tweaked to exaggerate how much it sucks.

Both liberals and conservatives know that it sucks, and 5Cats has repeated the SAME THING in many different ways, causing us to downvote his posts every time he repeats himself. I think that`s the right thing to do. When somebody posts new content that is interesting, I upvote. When somebody posts new content that is repetitive and boring, I downvote.

Tally up all the numbers here and so far only 81049 that`s still NOT a lot of people compared to New York`s initially uninsured. If you noticed I excluded Maryland because they say "received eligibility determination" not the same as "insured".

"Seems to me lefties here would rather bash 5Cats rather than have an adult conversation on the matter though."

The reason 5Cats is attacked is because he posts false, misleading and/or partial information, claiming it`s 100% correct. This chart is a perfect example as it covers ONLY the enrollment numbers on the main Healthcare.gov website. Yes, the site is f*cked up which led to low numbers, but he fails to recognize that there`s more to it. There are numbers being released from states running their own websites which show that a lot more than just 36,000 across the country have enrolled.

Take my state of NY for example, where 40,000+ people enrolled in the first week. While 5Cats does give us the truth sometimes, he never gives the whole truth.

It is that you post THE SAME right wing stuff about THE SAME TOPIC.

You have posted AT LEAST 5 posts that were about the website sucking. At this point do you really think it is interesting or entertaining to anyone but you to post about it again?

The pic that says "Obamacare is to help the uninsured which means we fine people who can`t afford it"

That`s actually not true. You`re only fined if you can afford it and choose to go without any form of health coverage. If you`re already insured or can`t afford it, you don`t pay any fines. It`s mean to keep those who can pay but want a "handout" from getting the service and even punishes them for trying to get a freebie.

The so-called tolerant left becomes most intolerant. I know as one of the few conservative Christians on this I am severely outnumbered; well, that didn`t stop Jesus and it won`t stop me. Have at it, flame away if it makes you feel better.

"Unless you liberals want the same tactic done to your posts"

Oh it is. Come on. My posts hardly ever have ANY political slant and even the 3 that did were funny, not straight politics. Yet this was rated at a 1.8 early in its posting.

You telling me that was rated that low because people ACTUALLY hated this and not because people hate my political views and the comments I make? Come on. How could anybody downvote that purely on its merit?

"I`ve noticed that there have been some of 5Cats posts, only minutes old, that were immediately and heavily rated a 1. This can only lead me to believe that some people here have multiple accounts and misusing them to down rate 5Cats` posts."

If the first person that rates a post rates it a "1" then the post becomes a 1. What the f.uck are you talking about? It wouldn`t take a conspiracy of multiple account 5Cats haters. It takes 1 person hating the post.

I find it highly entertaining to see you all so riled up regarding 5Cats. If you hate it so much just don`t open it. Most of you claim to be able to spot a 5Cats submission a mile away so what`s the problem?

"Compared to the number of liberals here, from squrlz4sale`s own chart, conservatives are heavily outnumbered."

Oh, I DON`T disagree with that at all. I`m just talking about the front page political posts, not the user base.

Don`t you find it a little retarded then that a clearly left leaning user base has a front page that is constantly bombarded with right wing posts they clearly hate?

WHAT is the point of the rating system if it isn`t to drive content the user base actually ENJOYS?

"Perhaps on Huffpo, DailyKOS, Mother Jones, Politico, The Daily Beast and others. But IAB isn`t like that. IAB is about curing boredom."

Yes of course, JUST these lefty sites. Shows how completely unbiased you are. Those sites would just be preaching to the choir. What would the point of that be?

"That`s because you didn`t count a lot of the "lefty" posts and counted others are "righty" posts based on your personal opinion."

Absolute, TOTAL bulls.hit.

I counted every post that was even REMOTELY political and then chose whether it was left leaning or right leaning.

The right leaning ones were almost entirely 5Cats, are you going to try to tell me he submitted "lefty" posts and I put them in the "righty" category?

You were in the discussion at the time. If you thought I was wrong why didn`t you call me on it then when we could have gone through them?

Yes, this site does want your politics, as long as you can be polite, respectful, and dignified about it. We disagree, but we need not let it degenerate into insults or rants.

Although we come here to alleviate boredom with cute, funny, strange, amusing, entertaining, or just plain weird stuff, politics can be entertaining, funny, and weird. Laugh at each other; laugh at ourselves.

Hmm, I`m pretty disappointed about how this thread has devolved into petty name-calling.

At any rate, I think supporters of the ACA have to agree that the website is absolute crap. Hopefully the website improves in the future, and luckily the website is only one small part of the ACA, but it`s horrible. It`s crap. The contract should never have gone to CGI Federal, and there should have been more oversight to ensure that it was done properly.

"The majority doesn`t like you."

Spoken like a person that`s doing the spam down-rating to try and get rid of someone they don`t like.

"IAB doesn`t want your politics."

If so then why not make a rule of it then? No politics whatsoever. But you don`t really want that.

What you are insisting on is that our political views be the ones that are banned. Sorry, but it doesn`t work that way.

Besides, politics does cure boredom and can be freaking hilarious. It also provides for some rather lively discussions. Political posts here are some of the most commented on in IAB`s history.

turdburglar: "The ratings speak.."

I`ve noticed that there have been some of 5Cats posts, only minutes old, that were immediately and heavily rated a 1. This can only lead me to believe that some people here have multiple accounts and misusing them to down rate 5Cats` posts.

Why do I suspect this? Because whomever is doing so has misfired a few times and rated some of his posts without even checking them out. They assumed the posts were political when they weren`t and the comments left were actually positive.

That tactic is nothing new, it`s been going on for years. It`s insidious and unfair. Unless you liberals want the same tactic done to your posts, might I suggest you discourage the person or persons doing the spam down-rating.

Perhaps on Huffpo, DailyKOS, Mother Jones, Politico, The Daily Beast and others. But IAB isn`t like that. IAB is about curing boredom.

IAB actually made the decision to rid itself of someone, I won`t name who, that feverishly tried to slant and orient the site solely into leftist politics. The "righty" posts that did get through were intentionally edited, by that person, to make the submitters look like idiots.

The whole episode was pernicious and divisive. I`m glad it`s over and never want to see it return. It`s better that IAB remain neutral politically.

Exactly! Don`t you believe in democracy?

The majority doesn`t like you. Go to fox news website and let us enjoy some entertaining posts. IAB doesn`t want your politics. This isn`t a political website. It is for entertainment.... because we are bored, not because we are trying to change the world.

Fix canada...then you can come and give advice. Until then, focus on taking your government provided meds.

5cats- "ban worthy?" You are ban worthy!

Stop being a puss and quit avoiding the whole point I made. You bring down the quality of the site.

If HG or Chalket said that, you could possibly say they are liberals who disagree.

I am not a liberal. Just because I agree with something you post doesn`t mean I like the fact it was posted.

Let the ratings speak for IAB. Even if you are 100% right, IAB doesn`t want to hear it.

You and a dozen others ( I am being liberal with that number because I know how much you love liberals) are running ape s#it over the comments section and the posts.

Saying you are mentally ill isn`t slander because it`s true, and you can`t deny it because you have admitted it before. I am not a liberal. I am just sick of watching this site go down the crapper because of you and others.

WAKE UP IAB MODS. THESE POSTS ARE GARBAGE!

"It`s to balance the LEFT-WING SHIITE that gets posted!"

That would make sense, although we already went down this road. Remember when I did a count and in a 1 week span there were 16 right wing posts and 2 left wing?

Do a tally of recent stuff.

I can`t imagine how you can actually twist reality enough in your mind to think YOU are a balance.

Even when you were in shutdown posts mode full force the only left leaning posts were squirlz who said he only posted it in response to your stuff.

"Normally @turdy? I`d warn that such VILE PERSONAL INSULTS are ban-worthy?"

Saying you make the site worse is not a vile insult. Does EVERYTHING insult you?

"But apparently I`m "Open Season" since @HolyGod says far worse and remains active..."

Far worse what? What have I ever said that is so bad? I say your posts suck and everyone hates them. That isn`t an insult, its true.

The whole point is that IAB is going down the crapper because of a few of you. This place should be about entertainment. Instead, like the tea party, you few will drive it to a grinding halt unless you get your way. No one here is about to change their minds. Stop trying. Lets enjoy this site, and stop dragging it down.

Enough with the politics, especially from the foreigners. How about posting some content we all can enjoy.

Screw the d-heads that loiter around the comments section and contribute nothing. Post something non political and entertaining! We are bored.

Try posting some links, and make IAB a better place.
Instead you loiter around the comments section posting negative comments.

Drac - American health care is none of 5cats or your business. I specifically said that Americas foreign affairs are fair game, although I don`t see how complaining on IAB changes anything.

Dick-headed foreigners just love to talk crap about America, but have no problem enjoying our products. And how about all that German free lifestyle?

You and the rest of the euro IAB dick-heads are Anti American because it makes you feel better about yourself. Your countries are just as evil and effed up.

America should give a crap when dick-heads like you STOP TALKING S#IT. If we weren`t the greatest, you morons wouldn`t be so worried about our inner politics.
Maybe you should start picking apart the inner workings of Iceland or Paraguay. Better yet, Somalia or the Congo.

Point being, you are a dick-head. Your constant anti-American opinions are worthless. Try posting some non political content. Make IAB a better place, and stop feeding your fellow

turdburglar-"Most IAB repubs don`t contribute to society"

Just took a look at the taxes I pay. Seems I contribute far more than average to society.

turdburglar-"but happily take what benefits are available"

What benefits would that be?

Yes, I enjoy the common benefits shared by all: infrastructure, police, fire, military, etc. I not only pay for my share of that, but I pay others` share of that also. Probaby yours, too.

As for `social` benefits: I receive no checks, nor debit cards, nor any type of `welfare` from the local, state or federal government.

As usual, you have absolutely no idea what you`re talking about.

5Cats doesn`t work for the republican party. He isn`t savvy enough to be a professional.

However, perhaps some right wing group pays I-A-B to post a minimum number of right wing posts and they have to post 5Cats`s because he is the only one submitting them.

I just can`t figure any other way to explain how this much of this s.hit makes the front page when the users of this site so clearly hate it so much.

Even 5Cats will tell you he posts hundreds of non-political stuff, yet IAB chooses to post this, the 12th or so 5Cats post about the shutdown / ACA.

Mods? Anyone care to explain how the community can consistently vote this stuff down and you guys continue to post it? What the f.uck IS the point of the ratings if not to influence content?

I have noticed a trend with republicans on IAB. Most IAB repubs don`t contribute to society, but happily take what benefits are available, at the same time try to deny the same benefits to others.

You don`t need to answer...I already know the answer, you crazy bastard. Claiming mental illness for the benefits automatically renders your opinion worthless. Can`t have it both ways!
