You know, all that fit in my pockets 20 years ago.
I had some BIG-ASSED pockets...

What it should say is "Now, all this is in one device."

And how do you know no one was looking at your video rentals?
"Oh... Hm... That guy is into THAT kind of porn! Better study this longer!"

For the price of all that stuff, you still get a good deal. On top of that, you get voice calling, which you had to pay a monthly fee for, as well. The big thing was that, when I rented a movie and watched it on my VCR, the NSA didn`t spy on me. That makes it worth going back in time.

I feel so old. Killing myself now. (While listening to a disco tape on my Walkman.)

Yeah, but this post is at least 10 years old, so it works out about right.

More like 30 years ago.

So, recently, I had a conversation with a crack-pot financial adviser. We were drunk, standing in a field after a polo tournament. He was spouting nonsense about technology making a leap every 5 years. He was saying we`d have anti-matter fueled propulsion for automobiles within that time. He was comparing it to the advances in micro-processors.

I politely disagreed.

Not only are those items each able to fit individually into your pocket, but they`re all available in a single device, which fits in your pocket. The speed with which technology advances still astounds me.

I owned most of those things. The memory typewriter I used at work. A TRX 2000 from Tandy {radio shack}. It used magnetic cards to store up to 5 whole pages of text!!!!
