    So they elect to to keep it open during construction even though the weight of a passing truck could sink it? That must be reassuring.

    On an unrelated note, is there a radio station in Russia that plays nothing but endless loops of generic Techno music?

    I`m thinking that`s a pontoon bridge that has a leak, which is why portions of it are underwater. Yes?

    S4S, I think you nailed it (just like those Ruskies nailed the deck to the pontoons).

    I expected a big piece of another bridge to come along from the side. I am disappointed. The bridge didn`t cross anything.

    @freddyferret: *phew* I`m not the only one who expected that.

    This was cool too though.

    Actually? The truck was doing good! The white car was stuck because the bridge was out of whack. The truck backed up & leveled out the pontoons so the car could drive off. Otherwise? NO ONE was going anywhere (except huge trucks of course...)

    It looked bad, but the truck driver was the HERO!

    Well, once the truck was on it could hardly stop rolling. If it stops the whole thing sinks. The car in front of the camera bottled the next section so the truck had to keep going. The car in front was at fault for stopping.

    The truck should never have gotten on whilst other cars where on it. That driver put property and lives at risk.

    @antagonizer

    Nothing hindsight about it, the pontoons are half submerged as is. Don`t need to be an Einstein to figure out what that means now do you?

    WHY IS THIS EVEN A BRIDGE? It was nobodies fault for stopping or not stopping, THIS BRIDGE IS POINTLESS IF IT DOES NOT CROSS OVER THE WATER INSTEAD OF IN IT. WTF RUSSIA?

    I wouldn`t even call that POS a pontoon bridge -- more like a pontoon ford.

    naw, there were extremely sturdy rails on both sides of the bridge, of course they would have prevented the cars from simply floating away.

    @LemonCurry: Captain Hindsight is Captain Obvious` cousin... :-)

    I still think the truck did that to rescue the white car...

    I think they should cover that bridge. That way, after it sinks they`ll have a tunnel.
