    Progressive Republicans aren`t interested in fixing government. Conservatives are. There`s a difference.

    How? What single piece of legislature have they proposed actually fixes something in government instead of either ignores it or guts it?

    Well, they didn`t cut it when they had the chance, but at least they expanded it a little bit slower than the Democrats.

    It would be nice to have another viable choice, though.

    @mesovortex, for one example, take a look at Act X in my home state of Wisconsin; it has been a resounding success despite what the media tries to tell us. There are numerous issues where conservative legislators take positions that are designed to lessen people`s dependence on government and thusly cut it back. They take the more reasoned side of things like immigration, global warming, alternative energy, cap and spend, forced unionization, right-to-work, welfare reform, and clearly the big one Obamacare or rather repeal and replace with something that will actually work.
