More "Man made" global warming type junk science surfacing again? I wonder freedoms they will try to take using this theory??? Anyone remember station wagons, 2 cycle motors, working toilets and light bulbs that actually give adequate quality light?

Meh, a good response by Michael Eisen (who created PLoS One) about how this is not unique to open access journals. Science and Nature also have a fairly high rate of retractions, as they are motivated by "sexy" papers that attract subscriptions. Open access doesn`t have that ability, so their focus is more on number of subs. It also didn`t submit this article to *any* subscription journals as a control, so there isn`t really anything one can say about this other than that peer review needs to itself be reviewed.

They already are. AGW is a multi $BILLION scam, and a lot of hucksters are getting insanely wealthy, e.g., Al Gore.

Now, if NatGeo would only shine a spotlight on all the shoddy journals publishing bogus global warning studies.
