Good for her, girl lost a whole nother her in the process. I don`t even weigh that much but I wish I had the willpower to just be like "OK, life overhaul, this weight is going bye bye". I`m sure her hubby is happy about it too.
I wonder if she had to have any excess skin removed though

Sugar is a drug. Obese people have an addiction ss bad as alcoholism. Put down the bread pasta and potatoes. Stay away from the deserts and sodas.

freddy: "most of them don`t choose to eat the right foods or right amounts. Instead of a healthy sandwich or salad, they inhale a supersized burger meal with 2 desserts."

True many do, but many don`t and have struggled with their weight for years, even decades. At some point many feel it`s a lost cause and give up. Beat your head against a wall long enough and you decide it`s better not to have the headache.

Crakr, but most of them don`t choose to eat the right foods or right amounts. Instead of a healthy sandwich or salad, they inhale a supersized burger meal with 2 desserts. They also park their fat asses on the couch instead of getting up and doing ANYTHING. There`s no excuse for the majority of the obesity in the world, it`s just lazy people who don`t care. You can`t abstain from food, but you can make smart choices.

Umm "she weighed 238 pounds" so if she lost 238 she would weigh zero

After reading Gerry and CrakrJaks comments, I feel like I`m living in an alternate universe. Did they hack each other`s accounts? lol

Gerry: Yes, and some people don`t choose to be fat either. Food isn`t like drugs, alcohol or sex that you can abstain from completely. People have to eat and most jobs in America today are relatively sedentary.

If I lost that much weight I would almost cease to exist. I hope didn`t marry her because he likes chubby women.

Was anyone else disappointed to discover that she hadn`t lost 238lbs as the title boasted but that it was her starting weight?

Nonetheless, I must commend her for her tenacity...if it took me half that long to reach a weight goal I would`ve probably given up.

Gerry: "It is our choices that make us who we are."

In most cases yes, in others no.

For instance no one chooses their skin color, except Michael Jackson, he did. And would you say that you made a choice to be gay? I don`t think you would.
the last socially acceptable bigotry--fat girls.
Rubbish. There are many socially acceptable target groups for bigotry. Fat people. Men. Various nationalities (in other nations). Etc.
Stirlingshire IMPOSSIBLE!! That`s in Europe and according to the Euro`s here they`re all thin, sexy and smart!!!
Don`t you realise that you`re just projecting your own faults onto this entity you`ve made up and called "the Euro`s"? You`re making up words for it - it`s entirely your own creation.

As an aside, it`s debateable whether Stirlingshire is in Europe anyway. I haven`t yet met a Briton who self-identifies as European and who isn`t a politician.

Good for her. Creating a goal and sticking to it. I respect that.

So once again we see that she chose to be fat. Then when she chose to be thin she became that. So much for blaming McDonalds for making people fat. It is our choices that make us who we are.

McG, you`ve not heard that from me. English girls love their triple burgers and large fries though they do offset it with a diet coke.

Congrats, but 7 years? I dropped about 200lbs and I did it in a year and a half. If she would have went straight to weight training, the pounds would have melted off much faster.
