What`s their next trick? Filling in the Grand Canyon in case someone falls down it? They ought to throw themselves in first, if they do, seeing how fat they are. Job finished.

I think someone should knock those fat f*cks to the ground before they get drunk and fall on innocent children.

Keep in Mind, the education standards in Utah are pretty slim. Its a religious run state, to keep people from questioning the norm, the education peters out at about a 7th grade level there. Spend a few weeks in SLC and have a political or philosophical conversation with a few random people on the street, see if it isn`t evident.

Yes, I know ignorance can be cured, but some people will never understand sarcasm.

Yes, Tupinambis, because it`s been there for millions of years, so, obviously it was about to fall on little helpless Sally. Ignorance can be cured. You know that, right?

The idiots went clattering on about how some kid may have got squashed by a rock falling on them.
No-one seems to have commented on how much effort it took a 350lb fat-mountain to dislodge the rock.
The argument here is not so much about oil companies drilling holes in 170 million year old rocks vs idiots pushing over 170 myo rocks, as the principle of damage for damage`s sake.
If we took their principle to the extreme, all outdoor sites of any interest should be bulldozed flat to prevent potential harm to the kiddies.
They should have stayed at home and laid down in their own back-yard for safety.
Fools.

Everyone would be happier if little Sally was crushed to death by the boulder. That`s what I got out of this.

Well, look on the bright side, it was likely about 1,150 years away from falling off anyways.

"The 3 Boy Scout leaders were on a church camp-out..."

I was never involved with the Boy Scouts but I`d imagine they`re taught to respect nature. What really pissed me off was the old, bald fat f*ck saying it was only 1 minute of video and not what it what looked like, blah, blah, blah... Who cares? They`re still destroying sh*t that`s in a state park and there for others to enjoy. I hope those a$$holes get convicted of whatever felonies they`re planning on charging them with.

You know, you`re right...aside from 2 things: 1) oil companies aren`t filming themselves stroking their c*cks and saying stupid sh*t like "This is to protect the children!"; and 2) I would guess many people would agree that oil companies are a bunch of pr*cks too. So how does that make these 3 guys any less a bunch of morons for destroying something that has otherwise stood there for 170 million years?

Just before it hit the ground, the "goblin" was able to send a message to its home world ...

Turns out his buddies also couldn`t give a f**k.

If you feel something in a parkland is unsafe, you REPORT it to the officials.
If you`re stupid enough to walk under a boulder held up by a mound of dirt, and it falls crushing you, you freaking deserve it- and we don`t need you dirtying up the gene pool.
These guys are idiots and liars-0 and as they are boy scout leaders, likely pedophiles as well.

Wow, some poor hiker has a rock fall on him, and pin his arm to the point that he had to chew it off with his little pen knife... why couldn`t that happen to this guy?

Once a d-bag always a d-bag. I`ll bet they were real fun in high school, you know they were the biggest bullies. Now they`re taking on Mother Nature, it won`t be long til Karma marks her territory.

I agree with 747Pilot.
By definition, these `goblins` can`t be considered public property. The boulders and dirt they consist of can, but neither the boulder or the dirt spire it rested on were damaged. It`d be different if these guys were poisoning the soil or blowing up the boulders, but knocking over a rock isn`t damage at all as it doesn`t negatively affect the surrounding environment.

It`s not real surprising that the parks service is trying to make a ridiculous example out of these guys to thwart general tomfoolery on public land. I just don`t see how it helps. If anything, this might just inspire a few other people to topple over goblins just to show how ridiculous it is to bring up charges on anybody for moving a rock.

*whine* they pushed over a rock *whine*

Its a rock. So what if it`s 170 million years old, oil companies obliterate rocks likely older as they dig open pit mines. But stop the press, time to get crabby, because these folks pushed a rock over!

I love how proud they are to topple over a very precariously perched rock. They must be REAL men!

As an Eagle Scout, I want to apologize for these asshats. This is NO WAY for scouts, especially leaders, to act. When you go camping, you are guests. And as guests, you should leave the area where you stayed in better shape than you left it. If convicted, they`ll never get to hold another position in Scouting. I sure hope so.
