@CrakrJak - Funny how everyone opposed to same-sex marriage says it "destroys the institution of marriage." Wanna know what destroys marriage? Divorce.

Let`s think about what marriage is by looking at the traditional wedding vows...

"for better or for worse" - no one seems to give a f*ck about that since many couples get divorced and only cite irreconcilable differences.

"for richer, for poorer" - that`s bullsh*t too, money is arguably the #1 cause of divorce.

See where I`m going with this? There`s nothing sacred about the "institution of marriage" these days. Not to mention the politicians who are anti-gay marriage citing the same excuse (it ruins marriage) that got busted cheating on their wives.

Gerry: I`ll admit that the Bible is full of imperfect people doing screwed up things, especially the Old Testament. Marriage was not well defined in the beginning, it became so over time and for good reasons.
"if marriage can`t be defined as one man and one woman, then it opens the doors for all kinds of "marriage" and even polygamy being legalized."
Just as the Bible defines it.

whodat: I have no problems with equal rights. Where I draw the line are at special rights. Straights wouldn`t be allowed to marry those of the same sex. In fact, these days if two straight men married, to get benefits, it would be considered fraud.

Also, if marriage can`t be defined as one man and one woman, then it opens the doors for all kinds of "marriage" and even polygamy being legalized.

That`s why civil unions were developed. CUs should be enough, if they weren`t adequate then work to change them so they would be. But by destroying the definition of the word marriage they`re loosing the floodgates for all kinds of perverts.

That`s not being hateful toward gays, that`s just using some common sense.

No, a "phobia" is a mental illness that manifests itself as a fear of something. There`s a HUGE difference.

"The problem here is that anyone that doesn`t accept homosexuals as "normal" is hyperbolically deemed phobic, hateful and crazy. Sorry, but that`s beyond ridiculous."

The hateful & crazy homo"phobics" are the ones that see homosexuals as subhuman and feel they don`t deserve the same rights as everyone else. It doesn`t matter if you don`t approve of their lifestyle, they`re still human beings. They work and pay their taxes like the rest of us so they should be afforded the same rights and benefits.

Oh dear, being NORMAL is soooo horrible!

I understand the point the homo who created this is trying to make...It`s just kinda stupid. I suppose I`m over thinking it, I just can`t get past how stupid this was.

Phobia indicates a "Fear" of something.

And lets face it, you are NOT "Afraid" of gay people, you are just an arsehole.
"I hate the fact that this, and many other words, use the suffix -phobia."

Yup, I agree. The correct suffix should be -averse.
The "phobia" suffix is just another way that liberals slander their political opponents -- in this case, accusing them of having a mental disease.

"The hate doesn`t come from fear, it comes from ignorance."

Disliking something doesn`t equal hating something.

Dislike: To regard with distaste or aversion.

Hate: To feel hostility or animosity toward.

I dislike pickles, but don`t `hate` them. I`m not picketing the supermarkets with signs saying "God hates pickles."

The problem here is that anyone that doesn`t accept homosexuals as "normal" is hyperbolically deemed phobic, hateful and crazy. Sorry, but that`s beyond ridiculous.

Yup, I agree. The correct suffix should be -averse.

Phobias are irrational fears and carry the connotation of being crazy. Few people are actually irrationally fearful of anything, let alone gays. The phobia suffix in this case is intentionally exaggerated and is used to make those who are merely averse to gays seem crazy.

I`m averse to pickles, but that doesn`t make me fearful of them. Calling me, or anyone else that dislikes pickles, to be pickle-phobic (or whatever the correct latin term is) would be absurd and insulting.

It makes me crazy that my husband thinks that it is a choice. I ask him, "So, tomorrow, you could decide to want to **** men?" We are what we are. This video breaks my heart.

I hate the fact that this, and many other words, use the suffix -phobia. Someone once told me that in cases like this phobia is supposed to mean "hate that comes from fear of something" but I think that`s bullsh*t. The hate doesn`t come from fear, it comes from ignorance.

Straight Girl`s Burden? It`s nicely shot and well edited.
As far as the content, you don`t have to smack people over the head with it.
I rather liked `Boys Don`t Cry.`

"Not surprised some men here have trouble having empathy for the plight of others because merely considering it is too much for them to deal with."
Try asking some of your American associates if they find uncircumcised penii attractive.
Ask them if they have EVER seen a sex toy that represented the appearance of an uncircumcised penis.

Well produced at least. They left out the bias towards lesbianism in our society. Most people have less issue with lesbians than with gay men.

Not sure how that might play out here.
The moral of this comment is yay lesbians.
