the reason is simple, that nation south of Canada houses the world`s #1 terrorist regime. They want to terrorize just as the dictionary indicates:

the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.
the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.

What that terrorist regime has done in that nation is a great example of what the love for money can do to nations: totally eat its insides away like a cancer, leaving but a bare shell. Sad but true.

@747 It`s not just money, it`s corruption, and unchecked power.

With enough power, money isn`t even an issue anymore.

unfortunatly, this is not a tinfoil thingy. i wish it were..

remember how the current u.s. president said he would pull out of the war in iraq and afghanistan, he would forclose teh terroristic abolishment of human rights known as guantanamo bay prison. this is the same president that agreed on intervening in libia, and the same president that is now pushing for armed conflict in syria, over what now? about a thousand, no lets say ten thousand deaths cause of chemical weapons. .its not nearly true, but lets forget that this conflict allready has cost more then a hundred thousands their life, and millions upon millions are fleeing from the land as is.

Nah, there is something going on, and the worst part is, we will know what it really is, when it is really to late.. so yeah, prevent teh arms race into syria, demand cuts in military spending and you will see a healthier world and america.

the biggest funny thing though, cut military spending in half, no more then that, and it still is the worlds biggest budget for any military, yet, it will make a big dent in the deficit of the us. kinda funny that this seems nonnegotiable, or even mentionable

I just wanted to say that I have emailed both senators of my state, and the representative of my district, to avoid a conflict in Syria.

I got two replies, one being the generic automated "Hey, I get a lot of emails. Please be patient as I respond to all of them." And one legitimate response.

Both of the response were from Republicans. And the one missing was from a Democrat.

Rothfus(R), representative, gave the real response that he was going to try to avoid a conflict.
Toomey(R), senator, gave an automated response.
And Casey Jr. (D), has yet to reply with anything.

Now granted, I understand that they are busy to respond, but I just thought it`d be good food for thought.

Modwain, it`s not as big as you think. Firstly, our budget is distorted from our competitors like China in that it is disproportionally personnel oriented (as well as current operations). We pay our soldiers like mercenaries, China pays them nothing. And if you measure China`s "Official military spending" (which is probably understated), you will get about 250 bil (PPP), and PPP is a better number to go on in this situation.

Half of the US` 682 would be 341, which would be less than China`s 250 and Russia`s 116 (PPP) combined. And that`s not taking into account the US` huge personnel costs which are SO much higher than China, or even the current operations around the world. China and Russia are investing.

And Europe`s already tiny costs are even MORE personnel oriented. Alone, they have zero operational capacity. They`re not even a factor in the geopolitical world anymore. I really worry that someone in the future will take advantage of it, because it would be a walk in the park to control this very rich continent in 2013.

Also in regards to the deficit - it won`t actually make much of a big deal. The discretionary budget is not the big elephant in the room, it`s actually been *relatively* brought under control since 2010 or so. It`s the autopilot non-discretionary spending that is truly looming.

If our debt service costs go up to even modest historically average levels - (US 10 yr at 4,5,6%), the Social Security, Medicare, and Debt Service alone will account for more than ALL tax receipts.

Debt Service alone will exceed military spending.

Whether or not you believe this message you are probably right-minded enough to accept that a very few people actually benefit from these foreign wars. I think it`s cute how Americans send their boys to die in wars and they get a flag folded into a triangle as a souvenir of their son as if he died for the good of the nation as a whole.

This should be aired daily throughout the world. Tinfoil? Did you listen to a word he said? You guys are so deeply brainwashed I don`t think there`s any hope for you. Your belief that `Uncle Sam` is the all-seeing, all-knowing good guy fighting off the big bad Commies in the 60s and the big bad muslims today is absolute proof that propoganda works.
If any other country built up its military arsenal and attacked like the US does, you would be the first to scream `outrage`, but because it`s the US you simply say `Oh, well there must be a good reason`.
I will even admit I have grown up believing I knew the good guys from the bad, but the evidence is so overwhelming it`s almost criminal to ignore it.

I don`t doubt the video is correct and all the wars have to do with the $. But this is the question for the vid creator and everyone else: What happens if the dollar does collapse? What if we don`t go to war and the oil price turns to gold or Euro? What you will see is the Mass economic collapse of the U.S. Mass homelessness and starvation. MILLIONS of children will die, not 500,000. MILLIONS. Urban wars will break out, rioting, corruption. Criminal cartels will fill the void by giving citizens a way out in drug use and dealership to suppliment so they don`t starve. America Will Become a 3RD world country in less than 10 years. What is the Solution to ALL of this? Two phase. Decriminalize drugs, tax and stop spending billions on the failed "drug war". Use the tax profit and savings to create a criss-cross high speed rail system, electric local public transport and Solar Energy, crippling the entire middle east and terrorism by taking oil compleetely out of the equation

2l82pray I think you read/watched too many appocoplyse scenarios. I find it very hard to believe the US will turn into a 3rd world country in 10 years. Think of Britain from the 1600-1900, it was the top world power with the central currency. The power shift occurred gradually to USA, USSR and there was pain but today England is still a 1st world country, with a high standard of living. When the USSR collapsed, people didn`t murder each other in the streets. Not that I think the dollar collapse WILL happen, but if it does the US will still be a powerful player and we will pull through. There`s plenty of resources, food, water that complete mayhem is counter-intuitive in my mind.

@drawman There you go again, grouping us all together. Did it ever occur to you that a lot of Americans don`t agree with all the wars and "interventions" the US partakes in?

he is a great film maker. but has no logic. even if everything he said is true, which I doubt, if there was a secret global cabal why would they care america was in control, couldn`t they just as easily control any other counrty

@kegomatix- you`re right, I shouldn`t accuse you all. I wrote this immediately after watching the vid. I will admit, I`ve seen more dissention from you guys over this than I have ever seen before. I think we have the internet to thank for these messages getting out. I`m surprised vetting hasn`t been used as a tactic.

@2L82Pray- I doubt very much the effect would turn you into a 3rd world country but it certainly doesn`t justify this constant war-mongering by your military.

Very bold, and all true. The US is printing money like crazy to prop up the bailouts of the banks and it`s all based on....nothing but speculation.
A very evil signal is that Larry Summers is now heading the reserve. This schmuck is a primary criminal in the giving away of America (to fat cats).
Who are the people that really run this land? They are the guys and girls parking their bucks offshore. They truly don`t care about party, they own them all.
How do we fight them? Lobby your lawmakers to tax speculators .5% for every $1000 made. Buy used goods whenever possible. Grow your own food - even if just a deck garden. Use less fuel. Put off buying the latest device until it becomes the last fad and the price plummets. Never trust cops, courts or lawyers - file your own grievances. If you own a business (like I do) demand fair pay, then give an excellent product.
AND: run for public office or learn the benefits of sitting down on a sidewalk and saying "No more!!&quo

well andrew, you may be right about the costs and spending on the military, i doubt it, but you may be right.. but at the same time.. we need big standing armies for what precisely? i mean, wether or not european countries can play a roll in international actions aside, who is the enemy we are arming against now?

I totally agree with most of what he said and firmly believe that once China secures gold as oil trade in the middle east it will end the American Empire. However, there is one part he got wrong, the end of the video where he says the Nazi`s should have been stood up against. I`m not trying to troll or start a new argument but the Nazi`s were as they believed fighting the exact same situation that we are facing now. After WWI Hitler noticed how the banks were financially controlling the government and was ultimately responsible for the loss of his country as he knew it. As he dug deeper looking for the root cause, he found out the Jews were in control of all banking and were manipulating governments and businesses everywhere. That`s what started his rise to power and his fight against the Jews, just like this video is calling for us to do now (except he isn`t naming a race). Look where it got Hitler... Of course he got a bit distracted with the whole world domination thing.
