So, if the forest was there 1000 years ago doesn`t that mean the climate was warmer back then than it is now? And without oil companies? I mean, it had to be warm enough to grow an freakin` forrest. Then it got cold again and froze it.

    Hi Gerry,
i think Jimmy Kimmel should have a child read out loud your comment...

    Greetings from Luxemburg

PS: Glaciers are formed on montains due to snow being compressed by it`s own weight, thus forming ice. This ice may or may not include trees, stones, eventually people (Ötzi).
This ice slowly moves down the mountain and at the end of the glacier, the ice melts, letting out whatever it took with it some years ago in higher regions of the mountain.

Ilikelogic, you still didn`t explain how the forest got into the ice.

Oh, and a tip for future reference, calling someone else dumb does not make your comment smart.

Vikings also had farms on Greenland, and we think our times today are so unique.

So much for the "unprecedented warming" that we are supposedly causing. This is direct evidence that the world was much warmer 1000 years ago without cars, planes, trains and power plants.

"This is direct evidence that the world was much warmer 1000 years ago"

it`s also equaly possible that said glacier only took that route about a thousand years ago..

Not to rain on your scientific reasoning skills parade or anything...

@ILikeLogic: So the GLACIER GOT BIGGER but was smaller before? So it MUST have been WARMER BEFORE, yes? Then colder (to increase the glacier) CORRECT?

Logic is a beautiful thing, when you know what it is...

@MrOrange: Take note: Logic! Plz use it, k-thx. "Scientific Reasoning" = LOLZ You be funny boy!

@Gerry1: You are 100% correct! I OFTEN point this out when the last "heat record" was from 50 or 100 years ago: WHAT made it so hot back THEN? AGW??? And 1000 years ago? And 5000 years ago?

@Quacktor: And some people live near active volcanos... what`s your point? We should spend TRILLIONS to plug the volcanoes???

5Cats: I`ve tried to explain the effects that one volcano can have on world wide climate, but the AGW sheeple ignore it. Mt. Pinatubo cooled the northern hemisphere down -0.5 to -0.6C for years. Afterwards, when the climate was getting back towards normal, the sharp recovery from -0.6C to the height of +0.8C in 1998 was seen as the "hockey stick" and that caused alarmists to over react and start scaremongering.

We have since cooled back down to around +.2C, for the last 15 years, but the alarmists are too invested into their work and finances to admit they were wrong now. They`ll go down with their AGW ship and take all other scientific credibility down with them.

"wtf "the name of the website is not a title""
Someone probably pasted the http link in the field the title goes. The title is going to automatically become a link so, allowing a link to be parsed to become a link can lead an Xzibit recursion flaw.

We noticed that your website name doesn`t have a title, so we made "Not a title" the name of your website. - Xzibit.
