Nickel2- We are led to believe that the expansion of the universe is accelerating.

And the `never-wrong` scientists are clueless as to how this can be. Makes a huge hole in their Big Bang theory.

We are led to believe that the expansion of the universe is accelerating. I can believe this, and I understand this as the reason that there is a large area of darkness between the stars. The far distant stars are now moving at close to light-speed, such that their received light wavelength is now red-shifted to virtually infinity; ie black. If we can`t see the black things, how do we know they`re there? How can we measure mass or gravity of something not known to exist? If we could travel at closer to the speed of light, would the unknown stars suddenly become visible due to blue-shift? I want to know. Please steer me in the right direction!

Nothing can travel faster than light "through space". But space can expand faster than light. The universe is larger than it could be if it only expanded at the speed of light for 14 billion years. So WARP drive is the answer. Warp space so that "space" is the thing that is moving and you just ride the wave.

Star Trek always has the answer.

It pains me so hard to understand that we humans are but just feeble Type 0 .. However it does bring a whole new perspective on the mysteries of ISON and other vids i have seen which clearly show objects that are not natural very very close to our sun. I think a civilization is playing us for fools.

Currently there has been more progress on devloping a working transporter system and Q-bit computers than warp drive systems.

Water has a neutral ph which is why it is a ubniversal solvent. He is NOT saying life can`t be based on another liquid or even a solid or gas. What he is saying is that almost everywhere liquid water is found we found life.

The critical step to our first stage of interstellar travel would be a propulsion system (perhaps a ram-fusion drive) capable of providing 1 g of continuous acceleration. At that rate, you can reach near-light speed (~99%) in about 1 yr. After, that, you can continue to accelerate at 1 g, but you only approach c asymptotically. (This is where relativistic time dilation comes into play.)

With such a system, traveling to the nearest stars, would only take few a few years, which would be entirely feasible, particularly if all or part of the crew could be placed in some sort of suspended animation (medically induced coma or cryogenic freezing).

The ship would accelerate for the first half of the trip, then turn around and decelerate for the second half. You could maintain earth-normal gravity on board for the entire trip and even after reaching the destination by going into a fast orbit and accelerating inward toward the destination planet (think sprint car).

Blah blah blah,
`earth-like planets which have liquid water (the “universal solvent” which made possible the first DNA perhaps 3.5 billion years ago in the oceans`
How does he know water is the universal solvent? It could be that Other planetary inhabitants have looked at our earth and said "Ooer, not going there, it`s covered with that nasty unpleasant water stuff. Who knows what that ph7 would do to the structure of our ships".
Anyway, as we all know, the optimum energy generator fuses anti-dark matter with dark matter harvested from inter-stellar space near the outer quadrant of the rishi maze, to produce electrons. The energy released is equal to that of a class 17 anti-white hole, blah, blah, blah etc.
All conjecture, but he seems to be earning money and acclaim from it. Get him writing scripts for star-trek movies and in 10 years time it will all be the truth.
