Blackhawk comics updated their "Chop-Chop" character well ...

And The Spirit was one of THE most visually accomplished comic books ever.

I see the offensiveness in the portrayal of racial minorities, but what is offensive about the Superman one where he asks for money from the oil drill guy? Seems like Superman asking for money was the PLOT OF THE STORY inside.

It is sad, some people just like to start trouble.
Most were pre-50`s comics. "Slap a Jap" was a war time comic. And the one you posted Gerry looks to be a knock off of the 1980`s Marvels "Power Man" Luke Cage

There`s nothing wrong with the Sunny cover. (Not even the kid is getting a view) Life Magazine in the 1930`s had a cover of a skater in a similar pose only with the camera shooting from about a foot up pointed at her crotch

If anyone thinks the "slap a Jap" thing is unacceptable, they should have seen the war-era cartoons still on TV when I was a kid in the 50s. The stereotyped, exaggerated way Japanese were portrayed was astonishing, considering the war had ended over a decade previously.
