    I don`t think it helps when people say so-and-so backed down or so-and-so got the better. The point should be that common sense won and war and loss of life was prevented.

    More like "Style over substance". He probably means his weak-ass leadership is just is impression of cooperating with other countries and he plans on taking over when things don`t go as planned. But drat it, him showing weakness in leadership is the reason why most republicans are calling the shot and the democrats are just following him like sheep so if this continues, there will be war.

    Obama = SCOAMF.

    The point should be that common sense won and war and loss of life was prevented.
    That has to be the stupidest thing I`ve read here all week. War was not prevented. It`s been going on for over 2 years with over 100,000 already killed, and it`s STILL going on. Nothing in this "agreement" does a thing to change that.

    But I guess it lets you feel good about yourself, and that`s what really counts, right?

    Yes, Prez Obama actually calls his Syria Policy "Substance". You cannot make this up!

    In related news: Assad wants $1 BILLION$ to "aid" removal of chemical weapons. What a surprise!

    @Drawma61: The "loss of life" continues unabated in Syria, Egypt, Libya, Chicago, Iraq AND Afghanistan... each is a shiny jewel on Obama`s Nobel Peace Prize!

    Who Obama Plans To Negotiate With! And more importantly, who NOT to...

    On his `own` authority? Are you fu<king kidding me? I thought we already a serious problem with Presidents deploying troops unilaterally in foreign nations. Either this guy has no problems with it or is willing to make an exception. We`ve already had 2 (no, 4 or more) unjustified misadventures in the Middle East already that has cost us fortunes and blood, now here are these news clowns itching for the PotUS to start another one. Fu<king ridiculous.

    Kain1: He`s weak because he let Putin control the negotiations, weak because he`s letting nations like Afghanistan, Libya and Syria dictate terms. He`s weak because he doesn`t even have the balls that God gave a chihuahua. He`s all bark and no bite.

    Ha! Nice source. Why don`t you just put some Newsmax or Drudge links up there? You Obama haters are too stupid too actually recognize what diplomacy even looks like anymore.

    @Kain1: You`re wrong.
    We "neocons" are in favour of EFFECTIVE ACTION in ANY crisis!
    Obama`s "tiny, limited" bombing would do... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING positive! And might open up a HUGE can of worms!

    How does that help anyone? He could not have done worse in Syria over the past 2 YEARS if you gave him 3 tries at it...

    @Kain1 Actually, we should have stayed out of it altogether. Obama blew the chance 2 years ago to help the secular rebels overthrow Asad. Now the rebel movement has been taken over by foreign jihadis aligned with al Qaeda and Hamas.

    Obama stepped on his dick with his empty "red line" threats, and he got himself stuck between helping the terrorists or going back on his word and making a joke of himself and the US.

    He tried to slough the responsibility off onto congress, but they weren`t having any of it. When Obama saw that he was finally going to have to take the responsibility for his own stupidity, he latched onto Putin like a drowning man clutching at straws.

    Putin offered to save his worthless, incompetent ass, but at a dear price. Obama had to stay on the sidelines, let Putin take all the credit for saving the world, stop supporting the rebels, and leave Asad in power for the foreseeable future.

    Way to go, Barry, way to go.

    @Kain1: Like @OldOllie said: Obama should have acted at the start, OR kept his nose OUT of it!

    Stupid, inflammatory statements with NOTHING to back them up is NOT "good diplomacy" OK?

    Obama`s "Red Line" quip was an IDIOTIC thing to say, because Obama had nothing but words! While Assad has nothing to lose by "crossing it" and everything to gain.

    -In Libya? Outsiders quickly and powerfully moved to back ONE side.
    (rightly or wrongly is another issue!)
    -In Syria? Outsiders have backed BOTH sides and done NOTHING for years now!
    (Again, if this was `good or bad` is a separate issue)

    Someone has to hold Obama accountable for his disgraceful actions, since the MSM has abdicated that responsibility...

    100,000+ killed with bullets & bombs = OK!
    2,000 (apx) killed with chemicals = invasion?

    WTF Mister `Nobel Peace Prize`?

    SCOAMF...
