Link: Honest Trailers - World War Z - World War Z was one of the most anticipated book adaptations this summer. Sometimes things are better left on the page.

I thought it was a decent movie, and I am sick and tired of zombie flicks. So that`s saying a lot.

I like the fact that the zombies weren`t the primary focus, but the investigatory methods used to uncover facts about the infection and to prevent more deaths.

It was a little bit like the movie "Outbreak", but with zombies instead of a monkey.

I have to send to my brother. He was bitching about how the movie wasn`t like the book at all.

I didn`t read the book so can`t compare but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Just rewatched the director`s cut in my home theatre a couple nights ago.

I think people like zombie movies because it`s scarier to see your own human race be turned against you, including people you love. Much more plausible than aliens or supernatural monsters. People who are high out of their minds on a rampage are really close to being real-life zombies so it`s not a far stretch to this being a reality. Not gonna start stockpiling food and guns about it, though, like some nutjobs are...

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to add that I`ve both read the book and seen the movie. I was disappointed to learn that the movie adaptation would not follow the book, at all, but I actually still enjoyed it. Yes, it`s a giant cliche`, but what movie isn`t these days? I like to think of this movie as having happened in the world of the book, a sort of extension, if you will. Maybe that was their intention all along.

    "LMAO!! Inception BWAAAS. "

You know it wasn`t as bad as that in the cinema. You just let the action wash over you.

I wrote a review where I pretty much said the same thing. The writers based this movie off the book in so much as they titled it World War Z, and then parted ways.
