When I was a kid we didn`t have fancy airlocks!
We put balloons over the top, worked just fine.

Got this as a stocking stuffer for my husband this past Christmas. It`s not bad actually. You won`t get a buzz off of it but it makes the juice all fizzy too >^.^<

Heck! Kids did this in my boarding school in 1980! We were all very bored.

Airlock? Just balance the cap upside-down on the top: it works! Kind of...

Anyhow, that stuff was sour & fowl! LOLZ! Hopefully this method makes better "hooch".

We used to ferment the apple juice this way on the submarine for our "Halfway Night" celebrations.

Pop a small hole in the 1 gallon can, add sugar and yeast with a little paper flapper valve over the hole and store it in the cool frame bays of Missile Control Center.

It wasn`t very strong, but after close to 2 months without even a beer, it got a pretty nice buzz going.

Reminds me of making ginger beer when I was a kid.
    1 demijohn
    1 airlock
add water, powdered ginger and sugar.
keep it warm and out of the sight of parents.
enjoy headache, be late for school.

ure genna wanna make sure your plastic bottle is HDPE2 or the fermentation process will leech poo out of the plastic..

also this isn`t really worth doing for Americans because their booze is freakin cheap, unless ure under 19 or 21 in the states. Us Canadians on the other hand, pay out the ass. i`ve been making my own for years. but i own all the nuts and bolts to do it proper in a 5 gallon glass carboy.

oh BTW they left out the part where you add a pooload of sugar to make some real panty remover

Ew- sounds horrid. I`d rather just make wine, or beer- it`s not difficult. I got my children pissed on Ginger beer- having read FAR too much Enid Blyton as a child I made some- gave both very young children a massive glassful, they loved it, guzzled the lot quickly ,then 5 minutes later I wondered why wondered why they giggled so much...
