Hahaha... Their sources are just a bunch of movies that they looked up on Wikipedia.

Eff you people. I have already made offerings for leniency during the Robot Apocalypse.
I`m a mechaphile so, during the gynoid wave, I`ll be happier anyway...

What no Cthulhu getting pissed that everyone worships Azathoth?

The particle accelerator thing is complete nonsense. The earth is constantly bombarded with cosmic particles, some of which have energies hundreds of times what the large hadron collider is capable of. If it was possible to make a black hole that could suck up the earth from a single particle collision, it DEFINITELY would have happened billions of years ago.

Andrew155, it`s not the actual irruption, as damaging as it could be but the ash cover that hangs in the air blocking sunlight for years. It will drop the temperature to constant winter and nothing will grow.
True and slow apocalypse.
The way we are drilling, this is more of a possibility than any other scenario.

Okay, it won`t let me write it like it is actually spelled, so here are some phonetics....

Foo-Koo-Shee-Mah

fudgeushima.

If we don`t get off our butts. We have to stop paying attention to Bieber, Cyrus, Facebook and Twitter and take a look at what is happening in the world.

If we don`t insist that our best and brightest, and that the best and brightest from all other countries get together and fix that problem, we have maybe 2 months before it fissions. That is an extinction-level event.

2 months. Could be sooner.

There is quite a difference between destroying the world and merely killing the people that are on it. A million years from now when humankind is long gone, the world will still be here, maybe dominated by land-walking octopus.

They forgot the Bieber/Cyrus Lovechild Theory that would cause a global panic and mass suicides.

Black hole from the LHC? Seriously? Round the chance of that happening down to 0, for many reasons.

I also can`t figure what an alien civilization capable of fast interstellar travel could possibly want from us that they can`t get elsewhere more easily.

I`d put my money on an epidemic. SARS and bird flu have shown us how incapable we still are at containing those.

I think a few of these scenarios could make society as we know it come crashing down, but I don`t think even a nuclear war could destroy every city on the planet. This isn`t Fallout.

I love the way New Zealand is omitted from the "World" map... Pricks!

"I for one welcome the Screaming Meteor Of DOOM!"

So the insects are out!?!? Better get a new t-shirt printed.

The Tralfamadoreans (Slaughterhouse 5) start their experimental engine powered by UWTB and the entire universe winks out of existence.

God gets bored with his hobby and pulls the plug.

The Eloi get eaten by the Morlocks.

"From what I have tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire." (Robert Frost)

Apathy.

An obscure and underfunded experiment in Meson-cancellation physics causes the Earth to rapidly break into a cloud of disassociated particles.

The choice of adjective is misleading. You call them frightening, I see them as exciting. You see obstacles; I see opportunities.

honkey - it`s basically what it sounds like, a supervolcano. A ridiculously powerful volcano. It`s so powerful that there is no "volcano" as we commonly think, all the surrounded rocks get blown away. You don`t want to be around one when they blow.

I like how Russia is listed as a big polluter, but the EU isn`t.

Also, "As global stability deteriorates". What?? This is one of those media slaves who doesn`t really know history. Global stability is very high right now, especially compared to history. Some would argue it`s never been this high ever before. I mean think about it - wars between nation states are rare for the first time in history. There are barely any rogue states.

@ Aquaman: Not sure, but I`m guessing that they`re referring to a calving of major portions of the Greenland ice sheet. If a large enough piece went all at once, it could produce a tsunami.
