A strange but interesting look at North Korea. It is every bit as weird as I always thought it would be.

Apparently you haven`t been listening to the MSM shilling for Obama and the Democrats.
And to assume these people are miserable is arrogant.
Tell that to the millions of people who have starved to death there. Oh, wait, you can`t tell them, because they`re f***ing DEAD!

What a fapping idiot you are.

@carmium- that`s a great point.
And to assume these people are miserable is arrogant. They don`t know any other way so they may be ten times happier than we are.

It strikes me that as NoKo is a non-religious country, the cult of the Great Leader fills the need many people seem to have for a all-powerful father on a higher plane. You religious folks out there: imagine if you had incontrovertible proof that God had suddenly died. Wouldn`t you cry out of fear and uncertainty?

Found it. Very cool to see what it`s really like there:

Very interesting post. Even with a government shutdown, I`d rather live here then North Korea.

There is a Canadian travel show called "Departures". Two guys travel the world and go right into the communities etc. so you can see what life is like there.

One of the places they went was North Korea. Now, it is a dictatorship and people there do have a warped sense of the rest of the World, but it`s nothing like what this guy is making it out to be. My guess is that the anti-American sentiment was so strong that his view of reality was a bit clouded.

If you can find a copy of the episode, watch it. It`s quite interesting and a more tempered view of what North Korea is really like.

Good post. It`s almost hard to believe that a society could be that screwed up, isn`t it?

Reminds me of 1984. A lot. Sometimes life imitates art.
