I hate food thieves. Did YOU bring that food item? If yes, then fine. If no, IT`S NOT EFFING YOURS! LEAVE IT ALONE!

I can`t believe stealing food at work is such an issue. Nobody where I work would think of doing such a thing - and it`s almost all guys, should you wonder.

Me neither Carmium, it just doesn`t compute in my head that someone would knowingly take and eat food in a fridge that they know someone else brought in.

It`s not like they pick a salad up and think `hmm...did i bring this in the morning?` They know they drating didn`t, yet still steal it anyway.

In all my working life I`ve only encountered something like it once and that was in a defence company and the company used to buy everyone`s milk/tea/coffee/sugar and all the milk (about 3 pints per dept.) went into fridges provided... they once had to send an email round reminding people that the milk wasn`t for cereal brought in from home it was just for the hot drinks...once they had to do that, and whoever was using it for breakfast cereal stopped.

I don`t doubt these people and places exist where everything seems to be stolen by colleagues because there are so many anedotes about it happening....but I`ve never worked with people that would steal things like

"dear sammie stealing co worker/s... i have to work hard to get my gf/wife to make these, it involves activity with the mouth that isn`t eating. seeing how you missed the satisfaction of earning a sammie, i added some extra "protien" to mine so at least you get some of the experience" Enjoy!

I used to work at a print shop where this Pakistani guy used to steal people`s lunches out of the fridge. Well one day another worker got sick of it and added some pubic hair on to his food. Lo and behold he did in fact get his lunch stolen but the guy who was missing his lunch was oddly happy it was gone....

If it happened to me, I would add laxative to it the next time. Then I would not only have sweet revenge, I`d find out who was stealing so I could let everyone know. Some melted Ex-Lax works well on a sandwich that had Nutella on it. It can also be used in chocolate desserts, and yes it works.

I used to work for a company where the janitor would eat anything that wasn`t well-hidden, prepackaged, or duct-taped shut. The strangest thing was that your plastic bowl would disappear along with your food, and then turn up 3 days later...in the dish rack. Of course, said same janitor would also throw away anything you happened to have in a box or bag on/under your desk, and somehow re-arrange everything in your cubicle and yet you`d come in to find a layer of undisturbed dust the next morning. I think he didn`t want cleaner on his food.

There is ALWAYS a food stealer in every office - and it is never who you originally suspect. They are a sly and sneaky people.
